While I agree it is something tiny, it peeved me off as a result from an evening of sexist behaviour.
If the tables were turned I am sure many male gamers would complain about it too.
I don't need girly stuff. I just wanted to be able to the product and didn't like being excluded from it because I'm female. The redeem code told me I had to have a MALE avatar to use it.
DS doesn't ignore the male fanbase. In fact there are plenty of games where you can date woman or touch them up.
I did say in the article that it was something small to gripe at. It's more the principle than anything else. :)
Halo Reach is a perfect example and sure lots of men play as female Spartans but there is nothing wrong with that. Lots of girls play as male avatars in MMORPGs.
Actually the downloadable outfits are not unisex. Putting the code into the redeem section says you have to manually change your avatar to male. Fact check before calling someone a moron.

2 people have told me now that there are no 'run and gun' control options in RE5.
It's because of the Capcom interview from inside Xbox saying that RE5 will have 'gears of war' style run and gun gameplay.
I am happy with the current controls but being able to walk while shooting would of been a nice change :)
