sony has always slacked off, remember ps3, the online was raped several times & no decent software updates like this gen, and only naughty dog games again (inb4 fanboy lists awful next gen games i.e hello kitty island adventures)

let's hope the new esram api can actually hit 1080p on multiplats but apart from that they are the better console for features & online experience. games are a preference but i love gears of war & halo.

hype through social media sold the ps4.
1. people are stupid
2. resolution-gate helped push ps4 as a more powerful console when it was just due to x1's poor esram api & unoptimised games with outdated engines for X1
3. the 50% more gpu power, was over exaggerated, more rops more fillrate etc don't equate to 50% better graphics, games look identical across the board, expect for resolution. (look at no.2)

nice trolling, still have nothing to defend what i just said? thought not, the truth is there isn't any good games for ps4 for a while, i may buy one if uncharted 4 has a decent multiplayer like uc2, but if not then it's literally a multiplat system with better resolution on some titles.
i can't think any good sony games this year or next, honestly you have to be a fanboy to not see that sony has NOTHING, it's just the multiplats thats keeping it alive, no one pays for a next gen system to turn it into a indiestation. The good news is at least sony is trying to improve software features with 3.0 even though the things we want.. are NOT actually there yet.

shame the games don't look 50% more different, apart from resolution there isn't much difference between the consoles, having owned both i can say, both consoles have sub hd games, visually there isn't much at all. xbox one just has better features & online so i tend to use it more.

ps4 needs this as its cpu is slower, so unfortunate that ps4 will not have any benefits of dx12
i wouldn't be surprised if x1 catches up to ps4, if not performs better, particularly in cpu performance such as fps & optimisation. not that it's far behind anyway.
i can't think of any game that looks exciting on ps4 unless it's uncharted 4, no mans sky has some potential though, horizon looks pretty but gameplay doesn't look like it will be any good, no offence to guerrilla games.
i think sony need to consider adding some decent features & UI changes to ps4 to really hype people up.... as well as a DECENT game PLEEEAAASEE for gods sake!
