People on this site said the same thing about halo 3 but when it launched the 360 sold over 700 000 unit in September and that's counting only NDP, Really that argument makes no sense.
Example: people who like the GT series already bought a PS3,
people who like GeOW already bought A 360
People who like GOW already bought a PS3
yet the console sales increased when these games released.
