I bet it was the retailers having that place holder price and people just placing their pre-orders like crazy. MS probably saw that and was like hey people are willing to pay that price, so here we are and surprise it's the exact same price when they said it was going to be lower.
What an idiot Halo reach is not the same as the other halos just as halo Ce to halo 2 was different than halo 2 to halo 3 of course they play similar because that is what I expect and fans expect. If uncharted 2 became a FPS do you think there would be a lot of pissed of fans? or if MGS became a pure puzzle game? fans want from sequels is to improve and add from the original with out drastically changing the core game-play.

I disagree people said the same thing when halo 3 launched yet the 360 sold over 700 000 consoles. that's like saying GT5 won’t sell consoles because previous fans already have ps3, that argument makes absolutely no sense because new people will always be introduce to these franchises and get the consoles to experience it.
