so is he just trying to milk this for all it's got.
I'm fine with that because its again being used as commercial use not fair use, if these youtubers want fair use they are going to have to do it for free.
I don't need to be agreeable to be right.
It's Nintendo stuff they can do whatever they want with it, if these youtubers want to make whatever content they want they can do it for free. Nintendo has decided if your going to use their work for commercial use they get to have control.
these creator are using Nintendo work to get money, Nintendo is 100 percent in the right to not let people make money off of their work. people having a different opinion about it is another matter.
On that note I remember saint row 2 letting one create a male that has a female voice and vice versa and those people still managed to bitch about it.
I personally don't care but Bioware new writers don't know what subtly is, and chances are it's not going to well written like that gay only romance in ME3.
if they're transgender how would you know? isn't the whole point to pass of as the other gender, unless the game is going to hammer on the point that their transgender that seems to completely defeat the purpose.
it's actually called Identity politics, a bunch of people carrying it around as an accessory.
there is a difference from being borrowed or inspired to making money off of videos which content does not belong to you, youtbers add nothing but commentary. and if they want to make videos so bad why not just make it non monetized.
and I'm sure if anyone created something they would not want someone making money off of it unless they the creator has control over it.
the thing is now it involves money and that moves it out of fair use, if Nintendo doesn't want people making money off of their work I don't see what the problem is.
couldn't it be said if it wasn't for the Devs/creators these youtubers wouldn't have any content to work with?
I'm sure if anybody who worked in the creative field wouldn't be that happy about people making more money off of your work, yelling at a mic recording themselves and making videos about it.
whats stopping these youtubers from not monetizing their videos?. sounds like they just want to make a quick buck off of another persons work.
And I'm not surprised Nintendo is acting they way they are.
If someone was making money off of your work by simply making videos about it I'm sure more people would get an understanding of where Nintendo is coming from, and there is nothing stopping people from making non monetized videos if they want to play the games because they like them.
Edit: Reviews can be fair game, but these let's players shouldn't be surprised that the creator doesn't want them making money off of their work.
I think the bigger question is why would anybody want to make their sole living making YouTube videos.
how can there be consumer elitism? when these game journalist despite all these interviews, reviewing games, etc, still sound like they have no clue what they are talking about. or they write a lot of stuff and still say nothing about the games, or even better being nothing but blatant PR.
these game journalist are nothing but bloggers.
because they are useless, and completely out of touch with the average gamer.
Good, gaming doesn't need anymore corrupt scumbags like him.
this is probably going to ruin their free to play model they had going, either way PC master race prevails once again.
I don't see how Joe is right when using someone else's work for commercial use. there is nothing stopping Joe from putting a non monetized video up.
