You do realise that the bright themes were meant to look that way? making them darker makes them look uglier.

I game on a 32" viera. Making the backround darker looks ugly and makes the xmb icons look crap.
The wipeout themes look sick, but I cant use them because I cant see what my friends comments are or what games they are playing. They need an option to change font color or something
Hopefully most of the themes have dark backgrounds. Im sick of theme's/wallpapers that make the xmb writing impossible to see

Insomniac is average because they never seem to make anything great. R&C1 on ps2 is easily one of the best platform games ever made, but it gets a bit ridiculous when they make 5 more titles that just add a few new weapons and recycle the same old level designs/puzzles.
R:FoM was good and had great multiplayer, yet they butchered it by copying halo and cod4 in resistance 2. R2 feels nothing like RFoM and it lost that gritty feeling that the origina...
