The end reveal looks like it could be Akuma before Satsui no Hado consumed him. Would be a cool twist to see him look more human and his V Trigger gives him access to his Satsui no Hado tech for a limited amount of time or something.

With current gen technology I think MAG has the potential to be much more successful this time around than it was with it's predecessor.
Oddly enough I think widespread warfare in the FPS genre is starting to become more widely accepted now than it was back in MAG's time.
The formula is more easily understood now and people seem more interested in trying new things as opposed to the old tired formulas that some FPS genres have beaten to death.

It'd be like someone at Square just decided to start pulling letters out of the suggestion box, sticking them up on the wall, then began throwing darts at them in the office while blindfolded and whatever gets hit they just decide to roll with it.

That's very true, to be honest most of the older FF titles are that way. I know I had no idea how dark FF6 really was until I played it again years later. All I knew was that I had fun playing it.
