Yet you're not forced to buy the camera and the light bar on the controller is used for other things as well. One being it changes color at different times during games.
Yes and no. People like innovation, but only when its proven to be of value. Kinect has yet to prove that it's worth it yet. With a lackluster set of games, it's only real value has been voice commands (which can be done with a mic) and TV guide (which doesn't work in all countries). As a result, many did not see the need to be forced to spend $100+ more on something they don't even use.
