Yes and no. People like innovation, but only when its proven to be of value. Kinect has yet to prove that it's worth it yet. With a lackluster set of games, it's only real value has been voice commands (which can be done with a mic) and TV guide (which doesn't work in all countries). As a result, many did not see the need to be forced to spend $100+ more on something they don't even use.
