For years, Kazunori Yamauchi has always talked about "crossing the virtual, with the reality" and making dreams come true for gamers. It obviously started with Gran Turismo, simulating the feel of driving cars at home, but along.came GT Academy, allowing you the opportunity of a lifetime, using GT to become a Motorsports athlete, but recently, PD made a long term partnership with the FIA to have represented competitions and prizes... out of this, we got Gran Turismo Sport, and fans so far are just discussing it as a Gran Turismo game...
GT Sport is NOT a traditional Gran Turismo game, it's a Trojan horse.
At first, it seemed like a big enough deal to have eSports be the newest big deal for sim racing, but with the FIA's involvement has thrown in an interesting link into the previous flow of blending games and reality...

A digital license has been announced, and it will be treated like a normal racing license, right down to the eligibility and fees. Acquiring and maintaining a Motorsports license is a huge responsibility, and if the FIA expect that kind of capability out of you, then they expect you to do more than just play video games...

We saw the first hint really when they announced two FIA sanctioned online modes to not only represent a country... BUT ACTUAL MANUFACTURERS AS WELL!!! GT Sport has the potential to open the doors to GT Academies going beyond just Nissan, but it could also have the crushing intimidation of real life Motorsports as well.
Make no mistake through, there ARE abilities to play GT Sport like a normal game, but PD and the FIA are making it quite clear that apart from the arcade/campaign/regular online modes, it's the other modes that are the main focus. If you're looking for a more traditional GT experience, then this may not be for you, this is catering to a more niche player base.

To me it's still quite remarkable how they can cash-in 5.3bn in revenue in a single quarter, since their hardware is basically dead.
The stock mark is what makes Microsoft remarkable, They have convinced every institutional and retail investor to just keep piling money into them. Like many big tech giants they are just a big growing pyramid scheme. As long as people keep dropping money into ETF's that cover the market Microsoft will always be liquid. At the same time it is completely stifling innovation and competition. People need to start being more discreet in how they invest their money as it's killing the system.
Riiiiight because people will just flock back to them for one or two games per year.
15+ years of bad performance is what they call irreparable in business. It is time for them to sell off the assets and get out of entertainment.
These declines are on the back of extra revenue received from releasing games like Forza horizon 5 on PlayStation. So I’m being sarcastic here when I said they should go back to exclusives. Killing off a revenue stream from Ps5 sales will only make things worse
