Sony, Nintendo, Microsoft Revolutionize gaming for ever this year.

I know this E3 will change gaming forever. To be honest I want to be able to have Natal as something like Tivo, not just for gaming and not only if you own a 360. This could eliminate using a remote control for ever. No more finding that darn thing between the couch seats. Think about it one of its main functions is a wireless control less, television and DVD remote control.

SONY will bring 3D gaming and 3D blue ray movies to my home, which IM really grateful for. This could limit pirates to some degree. NIntendo gave us motion controls and a lot of entertaining games.

When you think of what can be done in education and as hardware for future software its amazing. Its the beginning of our own personalized AI. It will respond to my commands, and recognize my face and voice. Im excited about Natal and 3D gaming, I think Sony is back to being the mother of Hard core, and I love Nintendo games that are actually from Nintendo. So let the games begin.

When I saw Uncharted 2 for the first time, my dreams as a child came true.I cant believe the graphics looked that good, and the story was equally as good. Instead of us the consumer wanting one to win all. We win as consumers. Let them duke it out, let us enjoy their competitive visions.

The 3 are there because they are the best at entertaining us.

Sounds like someone is very excited as to what the Big 3 will bring to E3. As much as I find Nintendo quite lame with their approach to the hardcore gamers, they are undoubtedly the owners of many well acclaimed games such as Mario and Pokemon and they keep me pulled in tightly; they are very much the rulers of the handheld market. I do hope they go for more of a push and really get the gaming industry moving with innovation though.

Natal looks very promising and I hope it delivers the experience it promises. Although, I am a bit weary about the price tag that will accompany it. Aside from that, I am quite intrigued as to what Microsoft is hiding for E3.

Because I own a PlayStation 3, I am very interested in what Sony have to offer as it directly applies to me - it hasn't stopped me from appreciating other console makers though. I hope they do allow us to delve into the information surrounding the premium surface, but at the same time I do hope they do not predominately focus their event on Move and 3D. I am excited about them, but I want to see a great range of things. I am positive they'll deliver though.

No they won't. They will all simply claim to change gaming forever. Motion controls for hardcore games will always be somewhat limited because some kind of physical controller will always be needed with certain kinds of games, particularly action adventure/shooters which dominate the market. 3D is cool and all, depending on the quality of the image of course, but unless there is a way to use existing HDTVs, it will be slow to catch on. There is a rumored adapter that will allow that though so it's a possibilty. As for visuals, just remember that one day we will look at Uncharted 2 and think wow look how crappy that looks compared to the visuals on my shiny new PS5. I know the Shadow Moses flashback in Metal Gear Solid 4 was a shock to me because I remembered the game looking so much better.

i agree, to "Revolutionize" IMO means it has to be somthing far beyond 3D and motion controll games

Nihilism5838d ago

I don't see how using technology that has already been created and used for years is revolutionary

If anyone is revolutionizing it's nintendo, sad but true. Things that nintendo have given console gaming:

Rumble
Analogue sticks
D-pad
Cross platform conpatibility
Online gaming ( SNES )
Motion control

They might be laging behind this gen in hardware, but they have brought more innovations to gaming than any other company, the only real contribution technology wise sony has brought it blu-ray, and that is not revolutionary, it's just evolution.

Not looking good. Hopefully Asha Sharma is able to turn Phil’s disaster around.

To me it's still quite remarkable how they can cash-in 5.3bn in revenue in a single quarter, since their hardware is basically dead.

The stock mark is what makes Microsoft remarkable, They have convinced every institutional and retail investor to just keep piling money into them. Like many big tech giants they are just a big growing pyramid scheme. As long as people keep dropping money into ETF's that cover the market Microsoft will always be liquid. At the same time it is completely stifling innovation and competition. People need to start being more discreet in how they invest their money as it's killing the system.

Once they re-evaluate exclusive all will be fine….

S2Killinit38d ago

Riiiiight because people will just flock back to them for one or two games per year.

Jingsing38d ago

15+ years of bad performance is what they call irreparable in business. It is time for them to sell off the assets and get out of entertainment.

Tanktopmaster9238d ago

These declines are on the back of extra revenue received from releasing games like Forza horizon 5 on PlayStation. So I’m being sarcastic here when I said they should go back to exclusives. Killing off a revenue stream from Ps5 sales will only make things worse
