Wow an honest review of the game. I am actually disappointed. My biggest issue is with the way the cars drive. After having played Burnout paradise, I was hoping the cars in this game handled as well, but you can turn for crap, just tapping the e-brake can send you into a tail spin, and the missions are really feeling snooze worthy. I DO like the variety of activities in GTA, but the storyline almost feels like a step back. I almost wish for Tommy Vercetti to come out of nowhere and slap this one....but then again, I am barely on to the second island so hopefully it gets better. I could do without the dating mini game though.

I am looking forward to saints row 2 now more than ever. I know it isn't much better, but I always liked Vice City more because it felt more like you were building an empire, and I like it when the meglomaniacal aspect of my personality gets a little love. Time to stillwater under control of the saints!

I think GTA is one of those games that have a magical brainwashing quality to them, regardless of quality. See: Halo 3.

However, I am currently playing through, and enjoying GTA4.

I sympathize with you, but just try to understand this is the biggest, most revolutionary multi-platform game to ever be released in a long time. Grand Theft Auto is a worldwide phenomenon, but things will die down soon.

Yeah i'm sick of all the news about it. I haven't been on the site in 4-5 days and when I come back all I see is GTA4 articles. It's good to know I didn't miss anything important.

Im loving GTA IV but there are flaws to it like there is to many games out there. There are framerate issues, pop ins etc but I think this is overlooked by the fact that it is so polished and well rounded that these flaws can be overlooked in one way.

I found the driving hard at first but after a while of driving I was able to do it easily. You don't have to do the mini games with your friends if you don't want to, this is a sandbox open world game. You can do pretty much whatever you want within this world that Rockstar have created. Alas, I can understand why GTA IV is not what its hyped up to be but I feel that overall its brillant with a few flaws of course.

Nice to see people can give proper, well thought out responses. I understand there are hundreds of thousands, if not millions of people that think this is a great game, and that I am in the minority.

Tell me again how the multiplatform strategy was supposed to fix everything. Look at your results and compare them to Nintendo, which keeps thriving with exclusives. Your loyal fans are gone. And let’s not forget the pile of IPs you purchased only to let them rot.

The worst thing is this is down from last years numbers/expectations which was down from the previous years numbers/expectations. You think about how long “down” has been a consistent part of the communication and you realize those subscriptions are what’s holding that boat together. The price cut of gamespass is still a price raise in a string of price raises. They are trying to use players to offset the missing revenue. Now call of duty is out of gamespass, which is literally WHY they bought the company. To draw people to the subscription. They realized they missed a boatload of money and that wasn’t sustainable. Now you pay for it like you would have if they never bought the company… so why buy the company? Mind you those billions still need to be paid back. Yeah it gives you a chance to say we make the biggest FPS… but the internal conversations must be brutal at high level on topics that really matter. Like revenue. Profitability. And ROI for the shopping spree.
