Activision, Activision, Activision......
Why have you done this to yourself?
We all know that it must be hard to keep a cool reputation when you are a giant multimedia company that is dependant on consumers to expand - so why did Bobby try to DESTROY his company?? Things were going so well for him: Guitar Hero was a huge success, Modern Warfare 2 lined their pockets with gold and developer flesh - they had almost every big game at their mitts. It probably started when they laid off almost the entire staff at Infinity Ward for such a silly reason: did they think that it would make them look brave, to pick on a developer team who had just helped them win MILLIONS?? Wow, they thought wrong. Loyal MW2-ers were pissed at Activision and ol' moneybags Bobby Kotick - after all, that was the very same people who brought them hours, and DAYS of Modern Warfare-goodness. Activision really isn't the kind of company to apologize for something they did in spite: Bobby had too much power, but will it have lead him to his downfall??
A series of blunders followed: but none as much as big Bobby's latest plan to take money from innocent people: "Online Subscription Fees for Activision games". This caused an uproar not only on Call of Duty games, but on every game! It was a tense moment: if this worked, every single game might follow, and we'd be paying for games with our houses!! Bobby might've actually caused LOTS of different problems for us, might've even started the collapse of civilization (lolz), as this is a very delicate time in financial matters. Luckily, Treyarch and Infinity Ward reassured us that we won't have to pay extra money, which is just as well. Activision couldn't fire ALL the staff of its two main sources of income! Big Baddo Bobby decided to let it slide this time, and continued on his war path to ruin his reputation by releasing outrageous statements, including Activision's most recent sexism scandal, "Woman Protagonists in games wouldn't sell well". Wow. You'd think at this point, he's TRYING to ruin the company!! Not only this, but if you think it over - they do a LOT of evil deeds right under our noses. I use to LOVE their games, but recently, not so much. Now all they care about is our money, and will try any scheme to get into our hard-earned savings. Publishers don't even have to release much statements, Activision should keep low for now, make up for saying such warped and deranged things... What's next? A subscription fee for the PRIVILEGE of getting a subscription fee? The multiplayer code for Black Ops to be released after you buy 3 other Activision games?? You need to pay for being within 100 meters of an Activision game???
I don't know why Activision is doing this, but I don't intend to stick around for long. Activision has become its own monster, a company so big, it'll be almost impossible for extreme people to boycott without giving up games altogether!!! Ok, maybe I'm over-reacting on Activision's silly smeg-ups, but they can't just go about doing whatever they please, just BARELY within the boundaries of the law! I WILL get Black Ops, but only for Treyarch: Activision and popular money whore Bobby Kotick are clearly too mentally unstable for me to support now ;D
Why do you think Activision is being a jerk lately? Will Bobby EVER recover his rep?

For Southeast Asia, new price changes.
Prices effective starting May 1st, 2026.
Looks like PlayStation took a hit with Marathon and is now quietly adjusting prices worldwide to recover the losses
The price increases are due to the RAM demand associated with AI and the US-Iran war. You can look to any business news website and local news to see that. Heck, even the 2026 Asus Zenbook Duo I've been eyeing has faced delays and has had a price increase of $400; that laptop has two specs. Asus is doing a staggered release with per-orders for the lower spec now and shipping in May and pre-orders for the higher spec that I'm eyeing starting in June. Basically, all computer manufactures are affected. It'll most likely start affecting smart phones too if it hasn't already. I can't remember the last time any major console maker (Nintendo, Sony, Sega, etc) increased the price of their console mid cycle outside of Microsoft just to make more profit.

CGMagazine writes: "And as I said, the actual game of Kiln is so genuinely boring that playing it to unlock the creative tools was such a massive chore that I genuinely started to resent it by the end. Battling is a monotonous button masher. There are only five arenas, and despite being based on different gods from various mythologies, none are particularly memorable in visual style or music. And it’s all just such a homogeneous mess of nothing."
I agree it seems like he's the last person on earth to be running a company as important as Activision in this industry. BUT, and I have NO IDEA, if this is anything to do with HIS decisions but the recent news :
""Remember, we have two enormous investments," Kotick said. "One in Bungie and the other in another project at Blizzard that we haven't given a lot of visibility to. Those are going to be entirely new intellectual properties.""
Sounds pretty inviting. 2 new IPS from some of the biggest developers in the industry? You'd be hard pushed to not be a BIT excited by this. Even if they probably want you to pay £10 a month to play them. :P
Don't give him any ideas, he may just use what you said.
And you first rant about activision, but then say you're going to buy their games anyway.
What is the whole point of your rant then?
Don't care what they come out with, I'm done with Activision. Cancelled WoW years ago, won't touch the new Starcraft, won't buy any of their future products. A game is a game.
When it comes down to it they're all basically the same games we've been playing forever (move this way, shoot this pixel, find this upgrade, etc. etc.); just with newer graphics engine attached to make them look 'cooler'. But there's plenty of other games to play so I in no way 'need' to play their stuff.
