After playing many games this generation, i have been left feeling disappointed. Gears of War(360), Resistance: Fall of Man(ps3), Zelda(Wii), Ninja Gaiden Sigma(ps3), Lost Planet(360), Dead Rising(360), Rainbow 6 Vegas(ps3, 360), GRAW2(ps3, 360), Crackdown(360), Bioshock(360) and Oblivion(360, ps3) have all been great games, but have left me feeling unimpressed. "Why?" You say. The answer is simple. All those games that I have named above are great games, but they all fail at giving me a true next gen experience. Sure the graphics in all of them are top notch but after playing them, they give me the feeling of a last gen experience. If you strip away the HD graphics in all of them, what are you left with? Ps2 or xbox games.
Why can't we have innovative game play, top notch graphics, and a fantastic story all in one game? OH wait we do....LAIR(ps3)! After playing Lair, for the first time this generation, I have been impressed. And it's a real shame that many people will never experience this game do to poor review scores. Anyway, Nintendo gave us a innovative controller, but lack of foresight, caused them not to include any HD component. Microsoft gave us HD graphics and a complete online experience, but failed at creating reliable hardware, adding a next gen format, and HDD to the every 360 model. Which is hurting their console even now at the beginning of its life. Sony beginning the only console maker that had foresight built the ps3 with HD graphics, motion control, wifi, bluetooth enabled, mouse and keyboard support, flash memory card reader, and HDD in every model. But with the high price of the ps3 not every one is willing to PLAY B3YOND.
But believe me when I say that Sony, Microsoft, and Nintendo have done great things this generation. Nintendo has given us a new way of play games, Microsoft has successfully transferred pc online gaming over to consoles, and sony has made gaming popular to the masses. So in no way do I think any of the console makers should get out of the business because they all are needed. So have we entered next gen gaming? I would have said no, if i had not
played Lair, but after playing that game the future looks really good,
at least for Sony. Nintendo and Microsoft on the other hand, not so much.

To me it's still quite remarkable how they can cash-in 5.3bn in revenue in a single quarter, since their hardware is basically dead.
The stock mark is what makes Microsoft remarkable, They have convinced every institutional and retail investor to just keep piling money into them. Like many big tech giants they are just a big growing pyramid scheme. As long as people keep dropping money into ETF's that cover the market Microsoft will always be liquid. At the same time it is completely stifling innovation and competition. People need to start being more discreet in how they invest their money as it's killing the system.
Riiiiight because people will just flock back to them for one or two games per year.
15+ years of bad performance is what they call irreparable in business. It is time for them to sell off the assets and get out of entertainment.
These declines are on the back of extra revenue received from releasing games like Forza horizon 5 on PlayStation. So I’m being sarcastic here when I said they should go back to exclusives. Killing off a revenue stream from Ps5 sales will only make things worse

The funny thing is you are the only one that thinks Lair is better than all those other 360 games. I mean it didn't even get a good review. Seems like more Sony Troll syndrome.
