Since E3 of last year I have read so many comments that have already labeled Microsoft and/or Sony's motion controllers as failures; which leaves me saddened at the lack of scope that some peoples imagination's seem to be lacking. I guess it is the same old story that has permeated mankind for as long as there has been such a thing as mankind. Two cavemen sitting around both inventing the wheel, one round, and one square, thus the beginnings of a format war. A format war that was ended not by consumer preference, but by the creator of the round wheel curb-stomping the progenitor of the square format with said round wheel(pure speculation).
I realize a subset of people have always stood on the sidelines and ridiculed that which is foreign to them and beyond their scope of understanding. The Wright brothers,Henry Ford, A.G. Bell, and Edison were all visionary and their inventions changed the world, but the ideas and directions that spawned from those initial inventions have blossomed well beyond the scope of the original inventors; and have also revolutionized the way many humans live and communicate. However,I am not comparing Natal/Move to the life changing inventions that came before it but to simply dismiss the technologies as mere knock-offs of other technologies or to diminish the potential the two devices have to advance gaming into areas of interaction that heretofore do not exist just leaves me scratching my head in bewilderment.
If you are reading this then please let me know what side of the technology fence you stand on. I personally give the nod to Natal for the possibility of creating new interactive experiences, but I also think Move is going to shine in its own right. The potential is only limited by the scope of the imaginations of those creating for, and those playing with Natal and Move. I hope they both leave an indelible mark on gaming for years to come.

To me it's still quite remarkable how they can cash-in 5.3bn in revenue in a single quarter, since their hardware is basically dead.
The stock mark is what makes Microsoft remarkable, They have convinced every institutional and retail investor to just keep piling money into them. Like many big tech giants they are just a big growing pyramid scheme. As long as people keep dropping money into ETF's that cover the market Microsoft will always be liquid. At the same time it is completely stifling innovation and competition. People need to start being more discreet in how they invest their money as it's killing the system.
Riiiiight because people will just flock back to them for one or two games per year.
15+ years of bad performance is what they call irreparable in business. It is time for them to sell off the assets and get out of entertainment.
These declines are on the back of extra revenue received from releasing games like Forza horizon 5 on PlayStation. So I’m being sarcastic here when I said they should go back to exclusives. Killing off a revenue stream from Ps5 sales will only make things worse
