Yeah, its true. Gaming broke my heart. Coming all the way from the NES to the PS3. So so much has changed. Yeah the graphics got more flashier and the gameplay got all complex, but thats not my point. There was a time when you didn't care what console you had. A PS1 was no different from a N64. Now when I think of video games I think of "Fanboys". Its really bad. So much changed so fast. When the economy fell the prices rose. Its a hard time for alot of people right now and these gaming companys are throwing these ads at people who can't afford what their advertising. It wasn't always like that. There was a time when a newer console was somewhat "expected" to be in your friends living rooms. Now if you have a PS3 people look at you like your rich. And my #1 thing that has changed, is the fun-factor. When it really comes down to it I had more fun playing Crash Bandicoot that Call of Duty 4. Games were so much simpiler that they were funner than they are today. And for anyone to sit here and tell me gaming is more fun now is just ridiculous. So thats whay Gaming broke my heart. I miss the gaming golden age.

To me it's still quite remarkable how they can cash-in 5.3bn in revenue in a single quarter, since their hardware is basically dead.
The stock mark is what makes Microsoft remarkable, They have convinced every institutional and retail investor to just keep piling money into them. Like many big tech giants they are just a big growing pyramid scheme. As long as people keep dropping money into ETF's that cover the market Microsoft will always be liquid. At the same time it is completely stifling innovation and competition. People need to start being more discreet in how they invest their money as it's killing the system.
Riiiiight because people will just flock back to them for one or two games per year.
15+ years of bad performance is what they call irreparable in business. It is time for them to sell off the assets and get out of entertainment.
These declines are on the back of extra revenue received from releasing games like Forza horizon 5 on PlayStation. So I’m being sarcastic here when I said they should go back to exclusives. Killing off a revenue stream from Ps5 sales will only make things worse

Battletoads and Double Dragons broke my thumbs...and yet I went back to it every day. I still enjoy gaming, at least when I play it, or play with my friends. I don't enjoy the back and forth banter about it all.

remember games like perfect dark,shadowman,turok 2,conker:bad fur day and many more
today the industry just seems to have a sh!t load of craapy,soulless,and unispired games,mainly fps games,just the same old crap(unreal engine)
even more shamful,nextgen tech didn't help them just take a look at turok on 360\ps3 and pdz,compare them to their classics(two gens behind) and its nothing like the good'ol games
too many sucky games,even our best games turns to utter garbage(pdz,halo3,gta4,turok)
More fun? No, but not less fun. It is equally fun. However, I would not have a lot of fun if companies released games the same way they were 20 years ago. Not only that, but games have advanced a lot in other fronts, not just graphics, but production values in general. And to me, that has made the games have a lot more variety, made them more interesting.
So basically, games are still fun, but now they are more entertaining. Entertainment is not necessarily "fun", indigo prophecy or resident evil are not fun; however, they are very entertaining, and they cause emotions which are the opposite of fun, which is what makes me enjoy gaming even more, since I am not a child anymore. See what I'm saying?
so because games are more advanced now and days, games aren't as fun? You really make no sense with what you wrote. This is why each generation is called "the next-gen." As processors become more advanced and more RAM is available in games on consoles, games will be more complex and more realistic. To say something like Crash Bandicoot is more fun than COD4 s complete opinion. As for trying to generalize that if someone thinks games were more fun back in the day than they are now and days is "ridiculous" is not only your opinion, but retarded. If you don't want your games to become more complex, keep with your PS1, PS2, N64, or NES, but don't try to hate on people who want gaming to advance. I for one want games to take time to learn, and take time to master and not just be 2 buttons on one controller, I want to use all 13 buttons, and have to use them all to conquer the game, thats why its "next-gen" not just because of graphics.
