After seeing several articles of every columnist and blogger posting about the PS3 and it's surprising success, I felt compelled and obligated to speak my mind on this issue. Yes this is a blog and yes you will hear personal opinion, however I am a very opened minded person with no bias to a particular brand. With that said,
"The PS3 will be the juggernaut of this generation"
I remember back when I had a Sony Playstation 2, playing SOCOM 1,2,3,3:Combined Assault. I felt that if there was another Playstation coming out that I would be in line like the rest of them. After seeing the cost and not "understanding" the value of it, I quickly passed. What in the world is Blu-Ray? or HD-DVD? I loved shooters and sports games. Microsoft XBOX 360 seemed to have plenty of them. Nothing made me want to purchase a system until one game. Epic Games' Gears of War.
I went out a purchased a 360 a week in advance and reserved Gears of War. I purchased it right with the fall dashboard update came out. When I got home, I unpacked my 360 and turned on. Immediately it asked for the update process to continue. Shorty there after, I found myself being introduced to this thing called the Red Ring of Death. Get this. I returned to the store 6 times, with bricked consoles before I said enough. Microsoft assured me this was a known issue and will be resolved asap. A week later I repurchased along side of Gears of War. 3 months later. RRoD. Warranty exchange followed then I sold on ebay.
Now I have a 20gb PS3 and I could not be happier. I purchased one mostly because of SOCOM but it was the reliability and reputation that I followed. I went from a "sony fanboy" to a microsoft fan and back. Why? because being the tech head that I am. I knew the potential of the PS3 when I noticed that at my old job we used blu-ray discs that had almost 250 gb on a dual layer, dual disk platter. These were used for servers systems. Not only that but the technology can grow beyond that.
I am posting thing because I too joined the "PS3 bandwagon" The thing is, I'm the driver.

Microsoft announced its financial results for Q3 of fiscal year 2026, including an update on its gaming Xbox business and more.
Not looking good. Hopefully Asha Sharma is able to turn Phil’s disaster around.
To me it's still quite remarkable how they can cash-in 5.3bn in revenue in a single quarter, since their hardware is basically dead.

The charity event will be streamed live from Gamescom in August.

Thanks to the slip-up of an artist working on the title, we now have more evidence that a new Injustice game is in the works.
