Will Move, Move Us?

I have a strange feeling that things may drastically change when we use PlayStation Move with first person shooters. Here is the trick; will Move users have an unfair advantage against players with normal controllers? I say a definite yes. When SOCOM and Killzone 3 get released I think multiplayer gaming may get ugly. The ugly will be put upon the people with controllers, with the accuracy of PlayStation Move being one to one, the controller players will not be able to keep up with the speed and accuracy of Move. No way, No how will they be able to keep up. I’m willing to bet on it and if and when I pick up Move I will be able to take on all comers. You think the trash talk is bad now; wait till people start using Move, the controller guys will be accusing everyone with Move that they are cheating.
The competitiveness in all of us will move us to pick up PlayStation Move to keep up with everyone else. For those of you who don’t believe this, wait for this fall when you’re playing a new shooter with Move support and you decide to use your trusty controller and also you know that you are good with shooters because your King Sh*t with MW2. While you are playing a noob he keeps on killing you over and over, you try as hard as you can to get him, but he just seems to react faster. Then you realize that the reason why the noob is beating you is because he has Move, or he will sit there bragging to you that he has it. You will be at the store the next day so fast picking up the Move kit it won’t be funny.

The Move is not only for kids or casual gamers; the hardcore will embrace it, because they will not have a choice.

good observation...but i think your right and wrong cause MOVE may be a bit more tricky for people to pick up especially sense people have been using the DS3 for years... then again who knows maybe it will become way to easy to use it, I think the advantage of the MOVE would be how much faster you will be able to aim at the enemy compared to the DS3... either way people shouldnt complain just cause tthey dont have MOVE and others do even if there is an advantage... its also like what if someone played a game for say 5 years killing the guy who plays on his first day, you have to deal with it and if the MOVE guy kills the 5 year vet they should just learn to deal with it too cause theres 2 sides to it all

I understand your concerns but it would be easy for developers to introduce a setting for creating matches with Move users excluded or Move only games. The bigger concern is when Valve open up the PS3 to PC users with mouse and keyboard and lower latency. Again though, this will probably be easily sorted with matchmaking settings.

Think of it this way, if you think you're really good with a DS3 then going up against Move enabled players will be an excellent challenge ;)

I dont think it will be a problem this Fall, maybe later.

-Move is new, people wont know how to use it. People trained to use controllers will still have the edge as Move players are still learning.

-Games wont use Move correctly until next year. These early adoptions are just "demos" or whats to come. Just like the first PS3 games that were not that good, that are now godly.

Not looking good. Hopefully Asha Sharma is able to turn Phil’s disaster around.

To me it's still quite remarkable how they can cash-in 5.3bn in revenue in a single quarter, since their hardware is basically dead.

The stock mark is what makes Microsoft remarkable, They have convinced every institutional and retail investor to just keep piling money into them. Like many big tech giants they are just a big growing pyramid scheme. As long as people keep dropping money into ETF's that cover the market Microsoft will always be liquid. At the same time it is completely stifling innovation and competition. People need to start being more discreet in how they invest their money as it's killing the system.

Once they re-evaluate exclusive all will be fine….

S2Killinit13d ago

Riiiiight because people will just flock back to them for one or two games per year.

15+ years of bad performance is what they call irreparable in business. It is time for them to sell off the assets and get out of entertainment.

Tanktopmaster9213d ago

These declines are on the back of extra revenue received from releasing games like Forza horizon 5 on PlayStation. So I’m being sarcastic here when I said they should go back to exclusives. Killing off a revenue stream from Ps5 sales will only make things worse
