This is just a comparison of the original style of Google's Avatars Versus XBL's Avatars, how similar they are visually, and different functionally.
Lively 3D
Lively 3D was first revealed to the would on in July, 08 in working order. Lively had refined look compared to XBL avatars, yet retained the simplistic look of stylized avatars. In function, however, Lively 3D worked more like the Playstation's home than XBL or The Wii's avatars.
The features of Lively include:
- A Lively room can be embedded to any webpage or blog using an iFrame.
- Free accounts, only requiring that you use your Google account.
- Multiple " worlds" like an old western town, super heroes, islands, dancehalls, ect.
- Runs from the browser on your PC.
- Users can watch YouTube videos on Televisions inside rooms.
- Users can hug, shake hands, play games, chat and more

XboX Live Avatars
XboX Live Avatars were leaked on various sites as early as june 08. Visually, XBL avatars are more capable than Mii, yet not as graphically advanced as Lively 3D or home. XBL avatars are arguably the best on consoles being not too plain or complicated. Although deceptively simple in function, XBL avatars are also capable of running the avatars in-game.

To me it's still quite remarkable how they can cash-in 5.3bn in revenue in a single quarter, since their hardware is basically dead.
The stock mark is what makes Microsoft remarkable, They have convinced every institutional and retail investor to just keep piling money into them. Like many big tech giants they are just a big growing pyramid scheme. As long as people keep dropping money into ETF's that cover the market Microsoft will always be liquid. At the same time it is completely stifling innovation and competition. People need to start being more discreet in how they invest their money as it's killing the system.
Riiiiight because people will just flock back to them for one or two games per year.
15+ years of bad performance is what they call irreparable in business. It is time for them to sell off the assets and get out of entertainment.
These declines are on the back of extra revenue received from releasing games like Forza horizon 5 on PlayStation. So I’m being sarcastic here when I said they should go back to exclusives. Killing off a revenue stream from Ps5 sales will only make things worse
