Microsoft have sold approximately 41.7 million Xbox 360 consoles worldwide. 10% of the world population is left handed. So if Microsoft could R&D a left handed controller like this (which would involve horizontally reflecting the current controller molds, circuit boards etc.) there could be a potential market of around 4.17 million left handed buyers, granted i have not taken into account the percentage of left handed people who have actually purchased an Xbox 360 but the potential market is definitely there. This concept could also encourage new customers to the brand, by making all the games available, more accessible to those left handed people that find it hard to pick up and play on the right hand dominant controller. At the same time eliminating the need for game developers to include controller setups that cater for the left handed or 'Southpaw' minority.

Microsoft announced its financial results for Q3 of fiscal year 2026, including an update on its gaming Xbox business and more.
Not looking good. Hopefully Asha Sharma is able to turn Phil’s disaster around.
To me it's still quite remarkable how they can cash-in 5.3bn in revenue in a single quarter, since their hardware is basically dead.

The charity event will be streamed live from Gamescom in August.

Thanks to the slip-up of an artist working on the title, we now have more evidence that a new Injustice game is in the works.
We've known about this for a while, but if they had a 1 year head start, they really are behind the PS3, plus about 1/3 of those sales are people who rebought 360's after they Red Ringed.
I don't know...I think a left handed controller would be confusing even for a left handed person.
when the market size hits 10% or more of a product then at least a 3rd party manufacture should jump in.
Left handed controllers (13% of the US population), Colour Blindness (~8ish%) corrected games... all have markets
It is not 10% of the total market.
I am left-handed and I would have absolutely no interest in a left-handed controller. In fact I don't think I own anything left-handed apart from a pair of scissors (normal scissors just don't work with your left hand).
When gaming you use both thumbs to control what's going on. You need a similar level of dexterity with each. So there is no fundamental advantage in a left-handed controller. Furthermore, I've learnt to play how it is and I'm fine with it. I couldn't get any better by flipping the controller right-to-left.
I'm a lefty and I would have no interest in any sort of left handed peripheral. It really makes no difference. My left thumb isn't any more finely tuned than my right.
