I'll Agree with you on the fact that a PS3 and 360 will never, ever, ever come close to a 3,000 dollar supercomputer in terms of overall graphics. But by the same token you have to admit that a 400 - 600 dollar computer will never, ever, ever come close to putting out graphics the way a PS3 or 360 can. Being a all around gamer I play my share of everything under the sun regardless of platform, I'll even play on a Cell phone if the game is addictive enough (Zuma anyone). I know game such as Crysis and even older titles such as F.E.A.R, That were develop for the P.C. first looked way better on the PC. When F.E.A.R. came out for the consoles it looked close but it wasn't the same. But the very fact that it looked as close as it did with half the ram that it took to run on a PC is truly amazing in my eyes.

The thing to remember even though the PC might get one or two games that just look Godly in appearance the price of $3,000 + is not something that I can freely afford. Look at games like Gears of War and Heavenly Sword, these game look freaking SWEET! now imagine the rig that will be needed to run these games the way they appear for the 360 and PS3. Later this year you will see that when Gears is released for PC. Don't look at the minimum, but at the recommended Specs to run. I'll bet anything it will take a lot more then what was put into the 360. PC are great and for certain Genre's for FPS, RTS, MMOrpg's they are Godly, but a PC will never match a console for more bang for your buck. (all of the above stated by Kornbeaner)

your right, if ps3 was a console, but pcs cant match ps3s supercomputer performance, and the FACT that pcs have nothing close to cell, and the FACT that cell is used by sony to make there movies, no pc or supercomputer is truely on ps3 level, so please get over yourself, crysis is pcs best, and cant compete with ps3s mid or best, so please feel free to agree with Zonetrooper, he knows nothing and so do you about the only NEXT GEN called ps3, not pc and not 180 only PS3, get in and play b3yond

Sorry for the late response, but I work and don't really have the time I used to like in my last job to "work" on this site.

Sorry that you misunderstood what I said as hatred for the PS3, but only the opposite is true, at launch I waited for 3 days outside of a local best buys in 40 degree cold Long Beach Weather( I even got in the local paper "Long Beach Press telegram" for being the one who started the line). I am a Sony fan to the bone. But I am GAMER!! first. I LOVE my PS3, I can't wait for September and beyond cause that when the REAL console war begins, PS3 is getting a bunch B to AAA titles that are gonna be hard for any platform to match.

But back to the topic at hand. The PS3 is awesome that is why I would invest $600+ to own one. And I am sorry that you feel Crysis can't match what is being put out on the PS3. Fact is that if you play crysis on a $600 PC you are gonna play a ugly turd of a game. But I have seen this game run on a Rig with 4GB of ram on a Quad-core Extreme with Dual 8800GTXs running in SLI mode. With that set up the game looks fucken amazing, of course a rig like that would run up there in price around $3,000+ minimum. Like I said for graphics awesomeness PC will alway own any console, but at a price. I am very much aware of the specs and potential of the PS3 thats why I bought one. But that doesn't keep me from giving props to other platforms when they do something worthy of praise.

WOW!!! Exactly how old are you. Did you even read the reply I sent you? I AM A SONY FAN!!!! but there are games out there that even the great PS3 at this point can't match. To say that a PS3 can own a PC with a Quad-core extreme, 4 gigs of RAM, and dual 8800 GTXs is fucken insane. I am a gamer, I will give any company credit if they deserve it, YES even Microsoft. Do yourself a favor and stop being a fanboy and appreciate all aspects of this great lifestyle we call Gaming you'll be much better off.

are you sure, even if the ps3 couldnt do the imaginary games you say it cant, pc cant do the cg in realtime that sony put the cell in the ps3 to do, since they use these cell chips in their movies, which is one thing you seem not to understand yet

Believe when I say, I have read countless upon countless articles on the CELL processor. It is one of the most amazing processors that has ever been created.
I saw the video where they render a car with full lighting effects and ray-tracing, very very impressive. But this whole thing started on the actual gameplay graphics and not CG. YES FF13 and MGS4 will blow the line that separates gameplay graphics and CG. BUT AS OF RIGHT NOW NOTHING comes close. Honestly though stop being a fanboy.

Unless you got something new to say just stop responding. I doubt you were out there for 72 hours waiting for a PS3 the way I was, so as far as being I bigger Sony fan I got you beat. Just enjoy the system and stop trying to defend it against somebody who actually owns it and LOVES it.

I LOVE the PS3, so why are you still on this. DO you need to take reading lessons I have nothing but love for the PS3, but that doesn't stop other products from being great just because they are not on the PS3. Bioshock, Starcraft 2,Fallout 3, Crysis, there is a world that exist beyond the PS3 maybe you should try living in it.

Cause you are a fanboy of the worst kind. Nobody can like anything on another platform, cause that, to you makes them wrong.

PS3 is awesome, I KNOW THIS, I HAVE ONE, but gaming in general doesn't need people like you trying to shove the PS3 as the chirst of gaming. IT has pros and cons just like any other platform, but it doesn't provide everything to everyone.
PS3 is great, PC is awesome, 360 is a good system as well learn to live with that.
