Chainsawesome Games is a very small studio out of Canada that was founded in 2012 by two former Frima Studio developers. Since then they have released their first game on Steam, BeatBlasters III, and are currently working on their second game, Knight Squad, for Steam and Xbox One.

Knight Squad is a 1 to 8 players action game that can be described as Bomberman meets Gauntlet. Play as a Knight in the arena and defeat your opponents using epic weapons and power ups. Challenge your friends in the Versus mode or play as a team as you complete the challenges on each floor of Destiny's Tower.

Mini Q&A
Answers provided by Jean Simon Otis, Programmer
Why do you make games?
David and I are both from the Nintendo generation and we grew up with the rise of the video game industry. This had a big impact on us and most boys of our age had the dream of creating video games. We worked hard to make our dream come true and here we are now working in our parents’ basement hoping to make a living out of it.
Why should people play titles from Chainsawesome Games?
We really focus our games on having a good time with friends with simple and fast paced gameplay. Our best memories of playing video games are always when we are playing with friends either online or local so this gives us a good guideline when we are thinking about new projects.
What elements of game design do you hold above all others?
Gameplay. We're pretty terrible at narratives so we try to stay away and simply deliver as much fun as possible as fast as possible.

Day 11 | Chainsawesome Games

Microsoft announced its financial results for Q3 of fiscal year 2026, including an update on its gaming Xbox business and more.
Not looking good. Hopefully Asha Sharma is able to turn Phil’s disaster around.
To me it's still quite remarkable how they can cash-in 5.3bn in revenue in a single quarter, since their hardware is basically dead.

The charity event will be streamed live from Gamescom in August.

Thanks to the slip-up of an artist working on the title, we now have more evidence that a new Injustice game is in the works.
i think it's weird that they are just foucsing on gameplay , but that is ok
if the final product is good than i'm going to be happy :))
I love portmanteaus, and let me tell you Chainsawesome is a great portmanteau.
Looks pretty chaotic. Too chaotic?
This looks like a fun games to play with friends.
