I recieved Crackdown 2 on friday the release date in the UK and as much as i had been anticipating Crackdown 2 from its announcement up until recieving it, the reviews started coming through the floodgates and my excitement dropped a little, but i held out hope because i thought, 4 player co-op and multiplayer would be great to play with my friends.
However, when me and my friend started to co-op together, the excitement that i initially expected just wasnt there, it wasnt the graphics being poor (its cell shaded i cant really see there ever being a big advancement over crackdown 1 anyway) it was the fact that after the lets say 2 hour long campaign (if that) there really is nothing to do, the city doesnt feel alive there is so little to really grab you and take hold of you.
Quite often the civilians serve as an annoyance when they should be helping breathe life into the world, orb hunting is initially exciting bounding over rooftops in search of that little green glow high in the sky, but in the end... its just boring. The whole game even with its short development time seems to have more fun sucked out of it than put in it, as far as i can see there just isnt enough things to do for 2 people in co-op nevermind 4 people.
Now i know this is just my opinion and i dont want anyone thinking im saying "Dont get this game its shit" because im not i just feel let down and i can honestly say that using "8 months development time" as an excuse just doesnt cut it with me when i could play crackdown 1 and have more variety to an extent and atleast i would know in crackdown 1 99% of the game wasnt copy and pasted onto a new disc 4 player co op and a shoddy multiplayer added and branded for £40.
As a 16 year old the money i spend on games i expect them to give me some entertainment (everyone does really) but 3 hours after playing crackdown 2 i felt like id been a victim of daylight robbery.

Not looking good. Hopefully Asha Sharma is able to turn Phil’s disaster around.
To me it's still quite remarkable how they can cash-in 5.3bn in revenue in a single quarter, since their hardware is basically dead.

The charity event will be streamed live from Gamescom in August.

Thanks to the slip-up of an artist working on the title, we now have more evidence that a new Injustice game is in the works.
