With the Xbox 360 getting nice price cuts, and the Wii still competitively priced, the pricey PS3 looms large as the most expensive console with games and graphics that aren’t all that different from the Xbox 360. E3 is the moment Sony should grab hold of with both hands to slice the PS3’s price!

Not looking good. Hopefully Asha Sharma is able to turn Phil’s disaster around.
To me it's still quite remarkable how they can cash-in 5.3bn in revenue in a single quarter, since their hardware is basically dead.

The charity event will be streamed live from Gamescom in August.

Thanks to the slip-up of an artist working on the title, we now have more evidence that a new Injustice game is in the works.

No, I don't agree.
Sony dropped the PS3's price that last time LESS than a year ago and introduced the 40GB PS3 LESS than a year ago, it's too early for Sony to drop the price right now on the PS3.
Sony would be loosing even more money if they dropped the PS3's price now. There has been reports from Sony that Blu-ray drive prices and Blu-ray players will be dropping to the $299 level around this Christmas because of decreasing production costs, and if that occurs, PS3 prices should be ready for a price drop around that time too.
Sony has to do what's good for them, not what everyone wants them to do.
Yes they should, this is about market share, time is money , more than loosing money now. They have done a terrible job up until the last year. They cant say , well we will loose to much money while the competition take more market share. Step up, and Step Up Now.
Sony is doing an admirable job in making the PS3 more affordable however it still needs to make a profit. High profile games will keep the price at $400 for a while. Games like MGS4, Resistance 2, LBP, and Killzone 2 are more than enough to sell systems. A price drop during the slow months of next spring and summer looks more likely.
No need too, PS3 is out selling 360. It's nearest rival. PS3 offers more value than 360 with the inclusion of the Blu-ray drive/Wi-Fi.
