Will the new system at least keep trolls in check? Why get rid of bubbles?

*facepalm* Well, I can tell that my comments and blogs are going to be busy. My adoring fans will love this. I can think of one in particular who, if he saw this blog, would probably have to stop complaining about having 1 bubble and blaming it on everyone else.

I'm interested in seeing this new system, but I'll wait for the new site launch.

Will you be looking for new moderators/admins as part of this process?

What about the accolades for making comments, like "Well Said", and "Funny"? Will those be replaced/removed? I feel those should be permanent/long term labels to sort of give some users recognition, and to organize comments on reputation.

Not sure how you can rid or reduce the flamewars/low quality posts... I feel a lot of this has to do with the kinds of articles that get published on the front page. I feel that opinion pieces are the most destructive example of really poor hit-bait pieces that make it through and bring out the worst users, or at least reinforce mentalities that seem to form hiveminds about consoles, fans, etc.

Anyways, it's time for a change, all the best.

Well it's about time, the bubble system in my opinion is just flawed. I didn't suffer from it myself but I haven't been around as much as other people. I suppose though it's for the best, you can't really restricted how much people comment on a commenting website unless they were always breaking the rules. Trolling is the main bad thing on here, however the bad language one is silly I'm sick of bloody censoring my swear words, some sentences don't really have the same effect "Oh gollywash, it's seems that bloodhog Microsoft is at it again, why do they bloody want to make an always online console those twonky twonks".

The immature bubble vote got misused sometimes when it came to ones humour, what's funny in one part of the world might come off as immature in another especially if it's in written form. I hope you guys get rid of the disagree button aswell, I'd rather just see the agrees on here and see who has agreed with you.

If you need more mods, give me a shout man. I'm off for Summer and my friends are all away at Uni, they are staying their for Summer so I haven't got much to do. Yup, just sitting here, alone, while I sweat in this sun drinking my Irn Bru in my silly cup with my bendy staw...did I mention I was alone :|

I have been coming here since 08 and signed up in 09 yet still don't know how these bubbles work lol.

I had six bubbles until the last site update and I went down to four bubbles. It would be nice to see the open zone return though.

How do you get 11 bubbles? Is it just making very well-written comments or more?

The box on the top of N4G where it shows how many pending submissions is waiting is broken. Its showing more waiting than whats actually waiting. Right now its showing 5 where theres actually 4. A few minutes ago it showed 4 when there was 2.

Glad to know you're working on the abomination known as the front page. Maybe someday you guys will get around to fixing your broke ass forums.

Tell me again how the multiplatform strategy was supposed to fix everything. Look at your results and compare them to Nintendo, which keeps thriving with exclusives. Your loyal fans are gone. And let’s not forget the pile of IPs you purchased only to let them rot.

The worst thing is this is down from last years numbers/expectations which was down from the previous years numbers/expectations. You think about how long “down” has been a consistent part of the communication and you realize those subscriptions are what’s holding that boat together. The price cut of gamespass is still a price raise in a string of price raises. They are trying to use players to offset the missing revenue. Now call of duty is out of gamespass, which is literally WHY they bought the company. To draw people to the subscription. They realized they missed a boatload of money and that wasn’t sustainable. Now you pay for it like you would have if they never bought the company… so why buy the company? Mind you those billions still need to be paid back. Yeah it gives you a chance to say we make the biggest FPS… but the internal conversations must be brutal at high level on topics that really matter. Like revenue. Profitability. And ROI for the shopping spree.

Is this like the 10th quarter in a row they're down 33% on hardware how is that even mathematically possible. You would think their mediocrity would Plateau
