Playstation Brand, the new Nintendo

Sony's Playstation 3 had more than it's fair share of FUD by both the over whelming majority of the gaming media and a large portion of the gaming community it's self. There are many reasons why these entities religeously flooded the world wide media space with mind blowing negativity but I'm going to present one of the many reasons why the threatment the PS3 got from these entities has been worse than we've ever witnessed in gaming history.

Most of the negativity comes from fear. Fear that the PS3 will dominate yet again and what that could mean. We've heard all too well about a point that was used to dispell the PS3 which was that no gaming console has ever won (talk less of dominated) for 3 consecutive times and this is a significant point.

It is my view that should the PS3 dominate again this gen (or even just win out) that the Playstation brand of gaming will now be symnomious with video gaming just like Nintendo's been for the past two decades and if this happens the Playstation brand would be virtually unbeatable for a very long time. Why? well the thing is with the Playstation brand being even more dominant than Nintendo was and at a longer time period, people will undoubtedly see it as the defacto console with anything video games.

With Playstation winning this gen again and being the first console to win three consecutive times, it'll be virtually impossible for any other console, new or known, to put a dent in the Playstation brand's momentum. Should new consoles emerge, look for them to have the likes of Nintendo in their cross-hairs instead of taking on a behemoth like the Playstation brand.

Should Playstation 3 dominate this gen, the Playstation brand is pretty much guaranteed success for at least the next two generations (over 10 more years) should the gaming industry as a whole remain competitive and relivant in the future.

interesting thinking, and i agree, if sony can overcome the immense amount of negativity from launch and pull this gen out, it will put them in an iconic level for gaming console manufacturing. I have never regretted my ps3 purchase, even though it is the 20 gig model (simple to put in a new one=120 gigs). but it has gotten alot of heat but it seems people are starting to see that, like i said from the get go, its got a ton of potential. where as microsoft played mostly all of their cards at launch, sony has been slow feeding us greatness.

no friend nintendo is the most dominant brand

No offense, but Nintendo seems like it's more focused on exercise than gaming, plus they don't care much about hardcore gamers, since Wii's online is arguably the worst of the three, and all those minigames and crappy third party support.

Nintendo IS dominating in sales, but that doesn't mean its the best console.

Ya, if you still include the Wii as a next gen console....

If its going to dominate for the next 10 years(estimated), then Microsoft or maybe Nintendo is bound to release another console, which most likely(Microsoft) should equal out or surpass the Ps3.

My Hero Academia: All’s Justice Review [Capsule Computers]

Travis Bruno of Capsule Computers writes:

"When it comes to My Hero Academia, Bandai Namco took a rather predictable route at least at the start when it came to making games for the series. Arena fighters are the standard for anime and they released My Hero Academia: One’s Justice and its sequel within two years of each other. What came as a surprise though is that after that things went silent. Rather than drawing out a new game for each new story arc, six years have gone by and not only has the manga finished since then, even the anime wrapped up at the end of 2025.

So now that the anime has finished airing, now is the perfect time for Bandai Namco to strike while the fandom is still hot and bring the franchise back for one last brawl in My Hero Academia: All’s Justice. Featuring some reworked fighting mechanics, some expanded single player elements, and the largest roster so far, is this title worthwhile for fans?"
