Like they say with driving, if you can see another car in an obstructed view, you assume a car is there. Well, with survival horror games, I always assume something is around that corner or hiding in a shadow before proceeding closer. Many times it was nothing, but sometimes my assumption was right and I was prepared (most of the time). Patience certainly is a virtue with survival horror games, and I wouldn't want to have it any other way.

It really depends on what you're trying to survive, but here are some basics for any apocalypse.

1. Never stay in one place for to long.
2. Gather supplies for unorthodox places (medicine from a Vet).
3. Watch and learn other groups behaviors before revealing yourself.
4. Always have a scapegoat (better them than you)
5. Move to Montana for US survivors (lowest people per sq:mile = survivability 70%)

Understand what the threat is, how to move around it and what its weaknesses are. Find a weapon for self defense, find food/water for self preservation and locate basic supplies (flashlight, matches, etc...)

At all times looking for help, being vigilant of anything that could potentially be too dangerous.

I would lock myself in a Walmart...I would have everything I need.

I would find a good shelter and supplies, and of course have weapons to be able to protect myself.

In a survival situation I would be very smart on how I survived. It also depends on what the situation what. If it was comparable to the one in Outlast I would be as stealthy possible. I would be sure to think my plan ahead in a scenario like this. In a zombie scenario the zombies can be fast like L4D zombies or slow like TWD zombies. To which you would have to act accordingly.

I'm pretty sure I would survive any survival horror setting by acting/faking my death when fear lingers around. Then when the coast is clear I just keep creeping ever so closely to a window or any kind of exit, then go back into fake death mode until eventually I've escaped and every one of those zombies/deformed-mutant humans/crazy doctors are like "We've been screwed out of fresh flesh, wait fresh flesh?? bet you cant say that 5 times fast :D"

Hmm.... If I were trying to survive, I would bring a baseball bat with me. You can't run out of bullets with a bat. Also, I wouldn't go wandering too much. Just find a comfortable place and wait for daylight. (Steam)

I would try to make it to a boat and just stay out in the water. Can fish for food and hopefully nothing could get to me. Only thing would have to watch out for are storms. Could dock on land if needed and only if the coast was clear.

Hmm, if I were to (attempt to) survive in a zombie situation, I would find the closest hardware store around. I would find any lethal weapons I could, and take refuge to the roof. With the extra hardware you could construct a small little living space or something. I would also track down a generator and a bunch of gas so I could hook up a tv so I cod watch The Walking Dead and learn on my survival skills (I kid, I kid).

I think the best approach for me would be to hunker down with this crazy cat lady nearby. Before this survival horror situation happened, she was considered really weird and avoided often because of being obsessed with mooning people, both IRL and by choosing an online avatar that depicted someone mooning others. But when this survival horror situation occurs, I think staying in her environment and finding ways to craft those cats into weapons could be my best way of surviving.

How would I do in a survival horror setting? Well, in real life, I'm very follow-the-pack kind of guy, so I'd probably look for the nearest group of people so that we could all inevitably act out every Romero movie ever made.

Outlast is looking quite good, and I have no doubts in its ability to induce panic. Even if I don't win, I'll be happy to support the game on PS4 anyway.

Quite simple, I'd follow the steps of Bill Murray from Zombieland.

I'd dress up as a monster and blend in. Go golfing and everything!

I would go to an bridge and have an RV and have With some other Survivors and get snipers so we would se anything that came. I would also put bombs/ C4 on the bridge's legs incase we get attacked and get so much gasoline as i could, so that wouldn't been a problem. If we would get attacked we would just drive away and blow up the bridge.

after watching all the movies, playing the games and reading the comics, the best way to outlast in a survival horror setting would be to be alone and not depending on human contact at all, surviving is alone is more safe then in a group.

If I was in a survival horror setting I would first try to find equipment like knifes, lighter, and a backpack to store medicine and food. Then I would try to find a safe place to stay at night where there is no creatures/zombies. During the day I would move on and try to find people who are still alive so that we could join together in a group. At the end we will find a new place and then protect it by fences and posts. If it happens we will repopulate to become UNITED.

It really depends on the situation at hand, to be perfectly honest. If we're talking about a typical zombie apocalypse, then I'd basically camp on roofs or other high surfaces because those silly undead won't be able to reach me up there. Most likely I'd avoid other people, or at least those I don't know, simply because I don't want any unnecessary conflict. Honestly, it would be normal stuff I'd do. Bunker up on food, things to defend myself with etc...

IF, however, the setting would be like in Outlast where you're trapped in a building with creepy as hell monsters chasing you... then I'd probably cry in a corner and die.

This is something I've often thought about lol If i was ever in a survival horror situation I'd completely ghost it. I'd have a handgun and a semi auto weapon, both silenced. A machete and depending if i have control over the scenario or not I'd be all camouflaged out. I'd be moving as slow as molasses checking every corner and closing every door behind me as I moved. Slow, steady and silent wins the race in survival horror.

The first thing I would do is find a good backpack and load up on warm clothing, a blanket, and hopefully find some canned food. If it were possible I would raid a sporting goods store, so I could get everything I need in one place. I could find a good compass and hopefully a map there too. It all depends on the situation. I would look for survivors as soon as possible, because the more people you find the more capability you would have. Finding water would be absolutely essential. If the area was simply too dangerous to stay I would head south and go downhill, because that's where the water would flow.

Every step of the way I would try to find more and more capability. A good knife would be very useful, and I would look for things like rope, canteens, fish hooks, and iodine to clean dirty water. Thermal clothing for cold nights would be extremely useful as would a good pair of waterproof hiking boots. I would like to find a firearm as well for protection: a good handgun and a rifle would be my choice.

Tell me again how the multiplatform strategy was supposed to fix everything. Look at your results and compare them to Nintendo, which keeps thriving with exclusives. Your loyal fans are gone. And let’s not forget the pile of IPs you purchased only to let them rot.

The worst thing is this is down from last years numbers/expectations which was down from the previous years numbers/expectations. You think about how long “down” has been a consistent part of the communication and you realize those subscriptions are what’s holding that boat together. The price cut of gamespass is still a price raise in a string of price raises. They are trying to use players to offset the missing revenue. Now call of duty is out of gamespass, which is literally WHY they bought the company. To draw people to the subscription. They realized they missed a boatload of money and that wasn’t sustainable. Now you pay for it like you would have if they never bought the company… so why buy the company? Mind you those billions still need to be paid back. Yeah it gives you a chance to say we make the biggest FPS… but the internal conversations must be brutal at high level on topics that really matter. Like revenue. Profitability. And ROI for the shopping spree.
