Britain's surveillance agency GCHQ, with aid from the US National Security Agency, intercepted and stored the webcam images of millions of internet users not suspected of wrongdoing, secret documents reveal. GCHQ files dating between 2008 and 2010 explicitly state that a surveillance program codenamed Optic Nerve collected still images of Yahoo webcam chats in bulk and saved them to agency databases, regardless of whether individual users were an intelligence target or not. In one six-month period in 2008 alone, the agency collected webcam imagery -- including substantial quantities of sexually explicit communications -- from more than 1.8 million Yahoo user accounts globally... Right now, everything is being recording through Kinect. Your voice, your face. If you don't believe so, I got a bridge in Brooklyn to sell you. Tax dollars still being wasted left and right at the NSA and Pentagon.
I know the NSA is spying through all webcams and if not them, it's the GCHQ. They're targeting people that aren't even suspects. Personally, I unplug my desktop camera when it's not in use. It's one thing to expose oneself, but to have an unauthorized, unnecessary, foreign or domestic third party is disheartening. Do you think you're smart phone is safer?......(chuckles). Siri records your voice just as easily. Finger print scanners are normalizing. I can imagine for the first forged or staged crime scene with finger print replication. To me it's still quite remarkable how they can cash-in 5.3bn in revenue in a single quarter, since their hardware is basically dead.
The stock mark is what makes Microsoft remarkable, They have convinced every institutional and retail investor to just keep piling money into them. Like many big tech giants they are just a big growing pyramid scheme. As long as people keep dropping money into ETF's that cover the market Microsoft will always be liquid. At the same time it is completely stifling innovation and competition. People need to start being more discreet in how they invest their money as it's killing the system.
Riiiiight because people will just flock back to them for one or two games per year.
15+ years of bad performance is what they call irreparable in business. It is time for them to sell off the assets and get out of entertainment.
These declines are on the back of extra revenue received from releasing games like Forza horizon 5 on PlayStation. So I’m being sarcastic here when I said they should go back to exclusives. Killing off a revenue stream from Ps5 sales will only make things worse

Anyone that thinks Kinect (via Xbox) won't eventually be a part of spying is a complete fool. MS was the first to be a part of prism with little resistance (unlike Yahoo, who has taken a lot of actual legal action) and they will gladly allow Xbox LIVE to be next.
If they're interested in snatching up webcam photos, why not ones from people using Kinect? Hell, there's MORE info to be gotten from a Kinect than a regular webcam.
