
This isn’t a publicity gimmick, everybody has dissected Gamespot and Eidos to bits and pieces, but what about Jeff Gerstmann himself. Does he not deserve a proper adieu? , Does he not deserve one last post on Gamespot remembering the time he devoted to the site and his memories.
The ones at epicentre have spent their lives studying market conditions and they know this whole thing would be forgotten and buried in a week or two or at least that’s what they think, and they’ll be back rolling in their sacks of money at an underground vault in some obscure corner of Area 69.
The community at large who has come out in support for him in large numbers deserves a chance to say goodbye, in a way that is fitting for a veteran, who took his job seriously in every possible way.
So Jeff old boy I hope you have a very successful life ahead of you and we'll all be there as a community, bitching and raving about videogames at each step.
