The pics look indeed decent but still, they are mag scans and are not really new (I saw them in October - November which hints they are from August build, game is not coming until Fall 2008).
Plus, it's an open world RPG taking place in a rotting post apocalyptic world. Before Gears, Resistance, Killzone 2 and all other greyish/ on colorish games, it was Fallout that introduced this unique graphical style.

Also a sad thing is how everyone is having doubts based on wrong things. Sure, there are a lot of ways to be doubtful about Fallout 3, mainly the change of devs from Black Isle to Bethesda and how Oblivion wasn't on par with Bethesda's real RPGs like Morrowind and Daggerfall but we must not judge so soon. There hasn't been a single gameplay footage. It's no longer isometric or fully turn-based and that alone is enough for a lot of fans to believe it won't be near the classics and I kinda feel the same but let's give Bethesda one last chance.

Thanks. I indeed love this game but it's mostly because Fallout 2 is my all time fave game.
As for Bethesda, I too have faith in them but hopefully they go a much deeper with Fallout 3 and take a more classical approach to it rather than simplifying and modernizing it as much as Oblivion.

Even though they are bad quality pics, I don't see how people say they are terrible. Sure, they lack color and feel grayish but so do games like Resistance and Killzone 2. Fallout 3 has more right to be one colorish than all other games since the original post-apocalyptic and rather dead style belongs to Fallout franchise.

but as MK Red (damm he loves this game) has continued to point out their just zoom ins of pics from a mag, still I hate when people post terrible sh!tty pics of a game, I'd rather wait to see them when they release some high quality pics. Fallout 3 is one of the games, Iam really looking forward to, Bethesda is one of the few greats that have a special talent in this genre.

This game looks like Fallout but as we all know it isn't Fallout, it's being made by Bethesda!! These guys don't produce finely honed rail RPGs like Bioware or Interplay, they're more of the create an open world then let the community made content fix all the flaws type of dev.

I'm going to call it right now. It's going to be crap without mods just like Oblivion was since they were both designed to be vanilla on all platforms. It took a few mods to make Oblivion the game it should've been and the same will be true for Fallout 3.

I think Fallout 3 will be a masterpiece... and I'm afraid I'll lose myself in it.

I love all three of the main Bethesda Fallout games, so I'll take any of them.
