One-on-one with Aussie PS Vita developer, Tantalus

PC World Games said: "In 1994, Australian game development studio, Tantalus, opened its doors. Throughout its history the company has garnered recognition for its work particularly with handheld consoles on Nintendo’s GameBoy Advanced.

Eighteen years later, Tantalus continues to forge on with its passion for handhelds, becoming one of the first Australian developers to work on a Sony PlayStation Vita title.

... Since the PS Vita was just released in Australia last month, PC World Games decided to have a chat with Crago to learn more about the development process for the new handheld, talk about the future of the Australian gaming industry and find out why touchpads will never supplant the good old fashioned controller."

From the article:
"As someone who makes games, what excites you about the Switch?
Nintendo have done well in terms of creating a development environment that’s friendly and systematic. That sounds a bit limp, but as a developer you’re always looking to remove barriers to efficiency. We’ve been really happy on the Switch so far. Beyond that we’re absolutely sold on the concept. The controllers are very cool, and the possibilities they open up for local multiplayer experiences are really interesting."

Glad to hear that another dev is having an easy time with the Switch. I wonder what they'll be bringing over, now that they've confirmed they're bringing some games to it...

Going by their track record it's probably another remaster. I'm sure you'll be ok with that ;)

wonderfulmonkeyman3473d ago

Depends on the game, but knowing you, you won't care even if its a new core gamer franchise, so you can stop trolling Switch articles now.

Thanks for stating the obvious.

Exactly, if it's a remaster of something I like that I've never played before id be happy with the remaster.

Glad to see all the positive views from different developer's about the Nintendo Switch. It makes me think back to the Snes era and all of the wonderful third party games between the Sega Genesis and Snes ah good times!
