Minecraft developer commentary shows split-screen crafting

"There’ll be a new tutorial mode for people who’ve never played the game will be able to fit in with the crafting system with the controller in their hand. Brand new to the game is split-screen where you can have two to four people playing split-screen and eight online with the ability to mix and match online and offline players. Sounds like a crazy concept and could lead to building some of the most epic towers."

Not personally a fan of Minecraft, but I think it's great that they're giving the 360 version proper support with eight player live, up to four split, and any combination.

Split-screen is a great combination, could make it a surprisingly cool party game.

Awesome, there's not enough split screen games out there!

Fact. There need to me more games that have split screen.

cain1415186d ago

knowing I can play split-screen means I might buy this now...

Kramerica135186d ago

Nice. Too many developers fall into the trap of thinking that the online gaming negates split-screen. I say the more options, the better.

I used to buy cheap games thinking I’d play them later, but I always ended up returning to my favorites. Now I skip the deals unless I know I’ll play the game soon.

This is very true, my nephews grew up on these two games and whenever I introduce them a AAA game whether old or new, it's like seeing an alien try to make sense of it and then quickly lose interest in it.

Can’t really expect a 8 year old Roblox kid to go buy resident evil 9 lol

Gaming trends are so weird to me now. Like, I’m old school and games were consumed essentially how movies were. You play through a title and look forward to the sequel or other things that came out. Now, that is so not the norm.
