Ironhammers: Seeing as it’s a free-to-play game and anyone can go and play it for themselves, there’s little need to write a full review of the game. However, having spent an awful lot of the last to days playing around with it, I did want to come and at least share my first impressions on Microsoft Flight — and its first impression has been a good one.

To understand exactly what went wrong with Flight, one needs to understand the series’ development history. Many aspects of the Flight Simulator engine were gradually improved, seeing advances with every release, being built upon the previous game little by little. Indeed, the last public release of the traditional Flight Simulator engine was a long descendant from the original Microsoft Flight Simulator release in 1982.
MS really screwed up with PC gaming in general. Its fortunate that we don't need them as the platform is open to all.
Microsoft Studios has released a new update for free-to-play simulator Microsoft Flight; game owners can download the update on Steam now. This update fixes a crash and addresses a Windows 8 compatibility issue.
