GNT: I’ve been in one… OK maybe I haven’t but it sure felt like it. Years ago, back when I started gaming on my NES and Atari ST, I could sit there for hours thinking only 5 minutes had gone by. Now, even with the great releases, time just seems to stand still. Many games get completed (on the hardest difficulty) in a day, leaving only those achievement whores amongst us to go back and finish gathering collectibles.

Biagio at GameSpew writes: "Since the year 2000, Creative Assembly have been showing us history in its most brutal form. From the Roman to the French empires, the Total War series has given players the opportunity to live through the most glorious and most turbulent times in human history.
Even now, after 10+ years playing the Total War series, I cannot equivocally say which Total War game is my favourite. This speaks volumes to the quality of each iteration. I haven’t played the original Shogun: Total War or Attilla: Total War, so perhaps I can’t say which is the best in the series (even though most would agree Medieval II), but I can say they’ve rarely had a misstep."

There are actually some pretty good deals here, and a wide variety of games for everyone

Do video games have the potential to teach kids more than classrooms and tutors? Games like Medieval: Total War and Age of Empires tend to be packed with historical information.
I know the article said skyrim didnt do that for him, but it sure as hell did for me. I used taht analogy many times skyrim proves time travel is posible because of exactly what the article says you sit down for "10 minutes" & bam 5 hours goes by lol
Every time I sleep, I time travel.
