Recent comments by industry analyst paint a nasty picture for Nintendo going forward. What does it mean for gamers and those that invest in the company?

FuRyu revealed on Friday its Exstetra fantasy role-playing game is getting an HD remaster that will launch this summer on Steam.

The Wii is now a retro console. Let’s get nostalgic about an often maligned system.
Crazy to think the WII is to the Switch 2, as the NES was to the WII back then. 20 Year difference.
My wife asks me to bust it out (heh) everyone once in a while to play bowling and tennis with the kids. There was a ton of slop on it but some good stuff as well.
Wii was great but boy howdy did it cause Microsoft to go on a dark walk with the Kinect and the disastrous XBox One launch that they arguably never recovered from.
Not nostalgic for me.. I was there.. anyone who wasnt a little kid realized it was a gamecube with shit tacked onto it, it was the "joke" system and was well below even the switch in terms of comparing it to the latest machines at the time. The machine was well loved by young people and "casual gamers" who now remember it 20 years on, or in most cases more of its sales came in the 15-20 years ago range not right at launch- but again its not nostalgic for people who were "gamers" then really, just for those who ended up with one in their house, the games , graphics, interface and online features were archaic already in 2006.

New Chrono Trigger Form-ism figures of Crono and Marle have been showcased at a Square Enix pop-up store, with pre-orders expected soon.
"For those of you who aren't financial analysts, losses mean that the company is worth less than it was before. Nintendo stock has dropped by over 80% in the last few years, and the market has appreciated over the same period. I'm paid to advise investors, and none have made a profit owning Nintendo stock."- Patcher.
cant wait to hear how the nintendo apologists will spin facts.
"Let's take a look at the positives. Firstly, the 3DS, after a slow start, is outpacing the DS, the original GameBoy and even the PlayStation 2. But that's after a terrible launch that saw Nintendo revenues cut in half and executies talking 50% pay cuts. 2011 was officially the year of the 3DS, as no other platform sold more units over a nine month period. "
all that matters right now
I am a gamer, not a share holder.
Pacther is so off base, so out of touch, that I now question his credibility as an analyst. There is something so obvious about the Wii U, something he should already know. The fact that he doesn't address this factor is astonishing for me.
I guess I'll have to do it myself. Stay tuned.
