I didn't notice any differences from that video... doesn't matter to me, I'm still gonna pick it up on the PS3 even if it's better or worse than the 360 version only because I have the previous 3 on the PS2 and it would feel weird having a set where you need two separate systems to play the (current) entire series. =)

The 360's textures and colors are just a tad more sharp but the PS3 version has better framerate. Overall the 360 FTW, I hope they fix the framerate when released.

Capcom needs to stop crying about how they aren't being treated fairly. They have no one else to blame but themselves. They made the decision to use the crappy last gen looking Lost Planet engine instead of a real next gen engine.

I started to watch it and I immediately recognised the Gametrailers trademark when comparing PS3 games. Low contrast. They need to go to Devices, Display, and enable it to full colour using that option (cant remember the name).

I guarantee you the PS3 version looks better than it does via Gametrailers. I used to trust them but I don't, they simply need to recognise these comparisons are irrelevant if they fail to optimise the PS3's display settings to show the game how its meant to run.

I would seriously report this and future submissions of comparisons done by this site, because I consider it "fake". PS3 games look better than GT suggests with these comparisons.

PS3 and Xbox 360 owners look like they will both get a great game.

I think the graphics for this game look like Playstation 2 graphics. CeruleanSky is right, this game isn't going to blow away Capcom's expectations of the franchise. Putting it on Xbox 360 was a mistake, I haven't even played the DMC series but this wasn't what I was expecting when I heard Next-Gen Devil May Cry.

Same with Ninja Gaiden 2 though... Two "meh" games that pale in comparison to GOW or GOW2 on a previous Gen system.

if you look HD version, then on 2:11 on that demon, well his skin looks a little sharpier on x360 version.
Maybe this has to do with that GT AGAIN forgot to set RGB to Full OR maybe just because Capcom engine is running on x360 already for 2 years, better optimization, you know. =)

Anyway, you won`t notice the difference, unless you will compare games on 2 TV side by side. This multiplatform game, won`t effect the gaming. =)

they are both good, 360 has framerate issues, so does ps3, sometimes the 360 textures look good, then other times ps3 textures look good, so overall they are both the same. BUT i was expecting more from this game graphically, it doens't look all next-gen (like others said), but will still be a good game for both platforms.

Which controller do you prefer.... That looks like the only difference to me.

It's pretty even. Both versions look a bit dark in certain places, but I think everyone will be happy for once. I guess the exception being the extreme fanboys (Icewake, I'm not naming names).

As long as they are playable who cares which one looks better, just be happy that you are able to play it on the system you own. Only one's who should care are Wii owners, they will be the one's missing out on a great game as well as many other next gen games of 2008.

If it weren't for the text that said which platform the game was from, I couldn't tell a difference at all.

I honestly think that both version look the same... which does not translate well on the PS3... as proven time after time... it seems as eventhough the xbox 360 was released 1 year before the PS3... cost a lot less (since the core can run this game)... the PS3 has blu-ray and the cell.. Microsoft did a great job creating a powerful machine that can match anything developers try to do on the PS3. Before the PS3 was released (with all sony hype) I really though that the comparison between the xbox 360 and PS3 was going to be like comparing the wii to the xbox 360. It seem that more than one year after... we are still trying to use a microscope in multiplatform games hoping to see the true power of the cell and blu-ray... ohh yeah.. and the xbox 360 version has achivements...

I can't tell a difference what so ever between the two version. I think rumble is going to make a difference in how the game feels. One can buy a $50 dual shock 3 by the time this game comes out. As for myself, I think I'll just save my money and get a 360 version. Plus, Achievements will give the game more replay value on 360. So if you have both a PS3 and Xbox 360, I couldn't see any reason to buy the Playstation 3 version.

You can tell the difference if you look at the HD footage of the games, and pause them at the right moment. If you going to do this while your playing the game, then you'll realize the 360 version has slightly better lighting and textures, while the PS3 version has better shading and color. I also noticed the slight frame rate drop on the PS3 version, but for some reason Gametrailers didn't show that exact spot being played on the 360 (go figure). Any who I sure it's not going to hinder either of the games.

I couldn't careless since visually the game looks more than good enough, but I do know I'm buying my PS3 version. I can't imagine attempting to pull off my best combos on the 360 controller.

But I'm buying this for my ps3 rather than my 360 because I'm used to dmc on the sony controller. Not to mention that for most games on 360, my hands start to hurt. Especially with fighting games like the street fighter I downloaded

These comparison videos never prove anything. They're useless. The comparison videos of COD4 made the PS3 and 360 versions look nearly identical, but when I played both versions on the same TV, on the same settings, it was obvious that the 360 version had much better textures and much better anti-aliasing. The PS3 COD4 version looked pretty bad.

If you look closely at the video, the 360 version is slightly sharper. Whether this will be true on two HDTV's is anyone's guess.

It was agreed upon that the PS3 version felt better (due to the dual shock controller layout) and looked crisper when they compared the two versions side by side. It's being lead developed on PS3. I was actually quite impressed with the footage they showed, and it's certainly a lot more impressive than Ninja Gaiden 2.

I noticed that the 360 has a higher contrast ratio, crushed black and blown out white to hide the inferior textures & shaders.

you can see that the ps3 version has slightly better lighting. watch Nero's cloak as well seems to be a bit more dynamic in its range of movement on ps3. the 2 platforms look almost identical though.

Well the ps3 version is finally catching up. The colors are still a lil washed out but not as much as other titles. But so far every game that is lead on the ps3, the 360 version is atleast equal to it. Not the same the other way around. The 360 never gets crappy ports. The majority of the ps3's gaming library are inferior ports.

Devil May Cry on X360 Pad? No thanks. That pad is only good for racing.

One thing that jumped out at me is when u look at the 1:23 mark and pause it when both the 360 and the ps3 is on screen look at the hood on his coat there is a lot more detail on the 360 version.

But there is one thing that does stand out, its the game visual. This game just looks better than Ninja Gaiden 2, everything from its graphics and gameplay.

Controls better on the Playstation 3 has made this decision.

Lol the funny thing is that last year just about every multiplatform game looked soooo much better on the Xbox 360 and now they just look so equal after a year later.

360 has the edge the 360 version also seems more clear and when the white haired chick throws the creature into the bridge the 360 is clearly out performing the PS3 in the partical department look at the snow cloud being kicked up after impact. 360 has an more realistic contrast both games look un fucin believable. I hate to say it owning Wii PS3 and 360 and DMC being a sony game, but the 360 looks darker (in a better way) to me.

360 version is clearly pulling off more vibrant lighting(glow & hew reflections etc) and the white haired chick beast slam!! with the snow being kicked up is the proof anybody can see. 360 also seem more crisp I just got through watching the trailer on XBL and it was one of the best looking games for its art style I'v ever seen.

When Gloria lands on the bridge there is a huge difference between the PS3 version and the 360's.

The 360 version (right side) shows debris particles as well as smoke during the sequence. The PS3 version does not.

Also, there are a number of places in the trailer where the PS3's textures are blurred while the 360's are sharp and distinct.

Also, the only thing I can tell from this comparison is that this game is gonna suck.

downloaded the video to my PS3 which is connected to my HDTV Via the PS3's web browser on HD (since the PS3 now fully supports VC-1) watched it on, and i say that they look Identical, with the PS3 looking a bit better than the 360 version. Notice that I said A BIT BETTER than the 360 version. you guys should do the same instead of watching it on computer.

the most shocking part of the 360 video was that the console was able to be turned on.

Capcom had a demo session for Japanese press earlier this week where the game's producer confirmed that the PS3 version will have quicker load times due to the ability to install to the hard disk. However, the producer also said that the load times aren't bad in the 360 version.

Aside from that, the producer said the only difference between the two games should be subtle differences associated with the peculiarities of how the systems output visuals. You might notice some slight color variations. There are no differences in models and textures, though.
