While it didn't win out here at The Game Effect, Bastion was this writer's unequivocal pick for Game of the Year. Skyrim took that honor, and with reason; given that the Creation Kit just dropped, it is looking more and more like Skyrim will remain a fan favorite for years. In all, we were more than happy to see Skyrim take the top spot, even though Bastion remains one of the greatest works of art to take video game form.
