Kwalee out-google Google

The development team at smartphone app company Kwalee has been given the ongoing opportunity to spend 20 percent of their weekly office hours on personal projects.

Programmers and artists at Kwalee are given Wednesdays to develop projects of their own choosing, individually or in groups, whilst still working very hard on Kwalee’s debut iPhone app, codenamed ‘Vegemite’, in the remainder of their time. We have created a short video where the staff explain how this new idea will help our game development process.

@Kwalee the Dev channel is for stories aimed at Devs, not from them. The Apple tag is reserved for news about the company, and the iPad and iPhone channels should only be used for stories about products on those formats or the devices themselves. This story is about a developer making games for those formats, not the games/products themselves.

Some video game names just aren't meant to be. Take Puck-Man, the original, susceptible-to-vandalism name for Pac-Man. Or take today's example, the iPhone game soon-to-be-formerly-known-as Pussy Flip.
