High Voltage, the studio behind The Conduit, is the latest developer to sign up for Wii U.

As revealed on the company's official website, the studio is a registered developer for Wii U.

Prior to Splatoon, Nintendo asked Wii FPS The Conduit developer to make a water gun shooter

Back in 2011, way before Splatoon was known to the world, Nintendo approached the developer of Wii FPS The Conduit to co-create a non-violent water pistol shooter as a first-party exclusive. However, leaks at the studio quickly led to the project's cancellation.

One of the economic areas the city, as well as the state of Louisiana, has focused on since the Category 5 hurricane caused an estimated $150 billion in damage in 2005 is video game development. The state has offered as much as 35% incentives for game developers interested in starting up new studios or expanding existing studios.
