yea i laugh at those kids. They actually know that isn't true but they are so jealous that they try and find any old argument they can since there isn't that much flaws for pc gaming.

just_looken5251d ago

its a casual mmo/building game that looks like a ps1 game if this is proof that pc gameing is safe then i better dusr my 03rig off for the next wave of hardcore games lol.

Tony-A5251d ago

Good stuff! I'm not into the game much myself, but I can see the appeal.

mcstorm5251d ago

I agree wih you on this. But it also goes to show that gaming is not all about the graphics its about the experience when playing the game.

ziggurcat5251d ago

20 million users? more like 20 million... *losers*

heyoooooooooooo!

News4Noobs-5251d ago

Dont get me wrong... I'm not hating on pc fans/game, but I still don't the point of that game? I mean if you think about it, it is pretty stupid just putting blocks and creating random things -_-

But oh well on pc Any game can so popular that not even the best game on a console would ever get

IQUITN4G5251d ago

Yeah but you can apply that argument to anything can't you. Life for example is pretty pointless if you look at it a certain way. Crafting your own worlds in Minecraft can be incredibly fun but for reasons that don't seem to appeal to you is all

lugia 40005251d ago (Edited 5251d ago )

The power of the PC is to be used on Battlefield 3, CSS, Starcraft and Crysis, not crap like legoland, I still dont get it.

Perjoss5251d ago

It's funny that the games you mentioned do not even put any strain on a modern PC.

I'm pretty sure that the vast majority of money Minecraft makes these days is from DLC, so going f2p would make a lot of sense. But given how cheap the game actually is ($30 for consoles/PC and $7 on mobile) I don't think it would make that much of diference.

VenomUK434d ago (Edited 434d ago )

If 50% of all kids buy just one copy of this game (made up number but not unrealistic as the game has become almost a rites of passage) then Microsoft is doing great by being paid for each copy.

StoneTitan433d ago

it would actually make no sense to go f2p.
If you can charge something for the basegame and people pay for it (obviously they are still doing it) then going f2p would be idiotic.

Vits432d ago

Puting a entry price on anything also reduces it potential player base and therefore its paying costumer for DLC. That mind you likely make the bulk of Minecraft revenue. That is basic business since at least a decade, so I would get in with the times.

Funny how they and their parent company have different views on subscription-based delivery.

so i assume PSVR2 is not going to take its place. That's a shame as I do think it could benefit from the VR2 improved fidelity and controls.

OtterX619d ago

Well, they did just announce a native PS5 version the other day. Maybe there's hope, but I'm not going to hold my breath.

Play No Man Sky for open world experience on PSVR2

Abnor_Mal619d ago

Never was a Minecraft fan, so no more support isn’t a big deal for me.

What I would like for Xbox and Bethesda to do is update Skyrim VR to be playable on the PSVR2. That’s the only game I want out of the Xbox catalog.

OtterX619d ago

I wasn't a Minecraft fan until VR. It heightened the experience for me, but I prefer to use texture packs to improve the look a little bit.

I'm slightly bummed about the drop of PSVR support bc I was starting co-op w my daughter w this. Her on the PSVR Minecraft, and myself on the PC version w my Quest 2. :\
