The story of Minecraft is an amazing one, it’s the story of an indie developers rise to meteoric heights. Since it’s first appearance in 2009 the game has become a cultural phenomenon unto itself, hitting all aspects of pop culture. Today We’re pleased to announce that the game has hit 20 million registered users!

Mojang has partnered with Merlin Entertainments to build the world's first Minecraft theme park in the UK.

Not everything needs to go free-to-play!
I'm pretty sure that the vast majority of money Minecraft makes these days is from DLC, so going f2p would make a lot of sense. But given how cheap the game actually is ($30 for consoles/PC and $7 on mobile) I don't think it would make that much of diference.
Funny how they and their parent company have different views on subscription-based delivery.

Our ability to support PlayStation VR has come to an end, and will no longer be supported in updates after March of 2025.
so i assume PSVR2 is not going to take its place. That's a shame as I do think it could benefit from the VR2 improved fidelity and controls.
Never was a Minecraft fan, so no more support isn’t a big deal for me.
What I would like for Xbox and Bethesda to do is update Skyrim VR to be playable on the PSVR2. That’s the only game I want out of the Xbox catalog.
But PC gaming is dying? /s
Good stuff! I'm not into the game much myself, but I can see the appeal.
20 million users? more like 20 million... *losers*
heyoooooooooooo!
Dont get me wrong... I'm not hating on pc fans/game, but I still don't the point of that game? I mean if you think about it, it is pretty stupid just putting blocks and creating random things -_-
But oh well on pc Any game can so popular that not even the best game on a console would ever get
The power of the PC is to be used on Battlefield 3, CSS, Starcraft and Crysis, not crap like legoland, I still dont get it.
