What Skyrim Is About

Trevor of GAMElitist.com - "Skyrim, as far as I can tell, is a game that a lot of people like. I can’t comment on its quality as I haven’t played it myself, but I do know quite a bit about it, and what I know entices me."

I'm not afraid to admit I completely skipped Skyrim. I love singleplayer games and especially RPG's, but somehow I don't have any interest in the game. I've spent most of my time on Skyward Sword, Minecraft and other games lately.

AtomicGerbil5260d ago

You're missing out. I'm easily bored with RPGs but Skyrim still has me hooked at 65 hours in.

Baka-akaB5260d ago

Well it definitively isnt for everyone despite the massive positive uproar about it .

Chances are , if you dislike the Elder Scrolls , and unless it fixed some of your "issues" from the previous titles ( it did for me as i can't stand oblivion for various accumulating silly reasons ) , it still aint for you .

Bigpappy5260d ago

You don't love RPG's if you skiped Skyrim. You may love certain types of RPG's (JRPG's or turn-base RPG's). But if you had the the slightest interest in an Opened World RPG, why in the world would you choose to miss this one? You may no sense dude.

The games you listed bearly qualify as RPG's by the way. If at all.

JonahNL5259d ago

I never meant to list other RPG's, heck, the games I listed are indeed not even close to being RPG's.

Anyway, I certainly do love RPG's, but playing Skyrim takes up a LOT of time, which, unfortunately, I don't have. So yeah, that's my excuse.

Ser5259d ago

Who are you to make judgement, guy? Different people play different RPGs. Just because you don't like his choices doesn't mean you can ridicule them for not being real RPGs.

Would be nice if they had New Vegas ready as well, especially because of the show.

Hopefully this doesn't have the same performance issues as Oblivion Remastered.

cloganart134d ago

I haven't seen anything on these performance issues? What's been going on?

walken7134d ago

Probably the Unreal Engine issues, I skipped it for that reason.

Snookies12135d ago (Edited 135d ago )

Throw in all the DLC as well, like Oblivion and I'll definitely bite. I recall having one trophy left to unlock on the PS3 version with 100+ hours in my save. When my save file got corrupted, lol. Very sad day.

To be fair though, Bethesda was trash at Playstation ports anyway.

Michiel1989134d ago

all devs sucked at porting to ps3 for the first like 3 years because no one had experience with the cell architecture. Even 1st party took a long while to get proficient with it, the difference between uncharted 1 and 3 is massive for example.

Extermin8or3_134d ago

Oh oh oh I can do this too. GTA 7 will be made at some point in the future. Fallout 5 will enter development in the future too

jznrpg134d ago

Everyone there should know most gamers want New Vegas and Morrowind more than anything.

Christopher134d ago

Which is why we won't get them. Gotta keep floating "support this one and it might happen".

BlaqMagiq1134d ago

Can't wait. Won't have to go back to my PS3 to play this when it comes out.

they can't get a 14 year old game to run smoothly?

jjb1981162d ago

That's ridiculous, lol. I'm waiting for the guy that says its too cpu-intensive for the Switch 2. This game is old af and has been released like 17 times.
