"Because the fans asked for it" I also remember fans asking for trophies in DMC4 among other improvements and yet we don't see those anywhere.

So in other words....Money, nothing else, usual Capcom at it's best.

Hmmm, so much hate here. Don't get me wrong, I loved the original DMC's, specially the first one, but I see no need to get this collection.

But Don't really see the hate here, this don't differ much from other HD-releses, some people might enjoy this too.

Ofcourse it's about money, every single game that comes out is about money. No-one says it out loud, someone thinks ND would explain the existance of Jak-HD collection by saying:" Sony asked us to do it so we can sell the old games for them again"? No. Capcom milks every franchise they have, but I don't see that in this case it's actual milking.

I never played the first 3 so I'm getting this for sure. DMC4 was pretty good.

I welcome anything ( except FPSs), So I'm waiting for this collection & Silent Hill one.

I'm gonna wait it out and see if it's a true HD collection not like the so called Resident evil Hd Veronica x and RE4.

It'll be funny if this HD collection ends up selling more then this upcoming remake.

If you remember correctly, there was an intense spike of fan demand for a DMC HD collection shortly after the reveal of DmC.

Question:

Will this HD collection have the original DMC3 or the Special Edition ver. of DMC3?

I hope it is the original DMC3 due the the harder difficulty, despite the fact Virgil is playable in the Special Ed.

I'm the new CEO of Capcom.

I decided to scrap this in favor of a full remake of all three games. I'm talking LEGITIMATELY upgrading the games. Look at Ico/Shadow of the Colossus. They look SO much better than the originals! I want the fans to really enjoy coming back to this. No, I'm not selling this for $40. I may even sell it for $20! Maybe bundle 1,2,3, and 4 for $30? I don't care!

Also, there will be trophy support in DMC4. :) You're welcome.

Oh...and it wouldn't kill the team to include both the original and Greatest Hits version of DMC3. Maybe even improve the control schemes of both DMC and DMC2 to match up with the perfected schemes of DMC3? Oh...and give players the OPTION to choose which control scheme.

I'll talk to the guys at Ninja Theory. They know how to tell a good story, but I'm worried about this gameplay. Why? Well...because literally every fan dislikes the new direction. So, we listened. :) The old Dante you know and love is back! The framerate is LOCKED at 60 fps. You can quote me on that. ;)

Unreal Engine? No. I'm sorry, but we're a multi-million dollar company. We have in-house engines that look and run better than Unreal. I don't care how comfortable NT is with it. I'll call Naughty Dog or Valve if I have to. I want this done RIGHT!

I'd gladly buy this DMC collection. As for the new DMC, I wouldn't piss on the game if it was on fire.

The HD collection can take a hike. The new DmC is a definite Day 1.

I never got to play the 2nd & 3rd DMC on ps2, so I'm all for this.
