I have never played any of the DMC games but this is just stupid any idiot would release the HD collection on the Switch and not just one game. I know Capcom loves to milk their franchises to death and then over milks them again. Looks like I am grabbing the HD Colection on either Xbox or PS4 or save even more cash and grab it for PS3.

Capcom doesn't hate anyone. They've put out some pretty damn good games this whole generation. I don't have a Switch, but I know these prices are more of a unique thing to it's games. I even seen a lot of people on here saying that Nintendo's own games sell at full price even after they been out for a while, with rare sales.

Talk about overreacting. This happened with a lot of games well before Devil May Cry. Just wait for the cart, which will feature the first one on it and the other two as digital downloads, or just opt for the HD collection at $20 on other platforms? You also have to remember that these games HAVE to be recoded and adjusted to work on the Switch itself due to its many features (HD Rumble, etc).

A f***ing DIGITAL download of ONE game cost as much as the PHYSICAL collection of ALL THREE on other consoles. I'm sorry, but how do you people sit here and defend this s***?

This isn't the first time Capcom has been baffling with their Switch releases so I'm not at all shocked this is happening. They don't treat the system like it's a necessity (despite the fact that it's about to pass the Xbox One in terms of global lifetime sales in half the time) and the constant split releases and download codes instead of fitting it all on one cart or even skipping major regions with no physical release shows that.

Tell me again how the multiplatform strategy was supposed to fix everything. Look at your results and compare them to Nintendo, which keeps thriving with exclusives. Your loyal fans are gone. And let’s not forget the pile of IPs you purchased only to let them rot.

The worst thing is this is down from last years numbers/expectations which was down from the previous years numbers/expectations. You think about how long “down” has been a consistent part of the communication and you realize those subscriptions are what’s holding that boat together. The price cut of gamespass is still a price raise in a string of price raises. They are trying to use players to offset the missing revenue. Now call of duty is out of gamespass, which is literally WHY they bought the company. To draw people to the subscription. They realized they missed a boatload of money and that wasn’t sustainable. Now you pay for it like you would have if they never bought the company… so why buy the company? Mind you those billions still need to be paid back. Yeah it gives you a chance to say we make the biggest FPS… but the internal conversations must be brutal at high level on topics that really matter. Like revenue. Profitability. And ROI for the shopping spree.
