I'll stick with my Daggerfall.

Man I wish I got into TES before Skyrim.

(just went and watched original Morrowind gameplay)

I would've loved that game in it's time, as well as Oblivion.

Quite honestly I never even gave them a chance because of the 'meh' reponses I would get from GameStore employees.

I used to always be go in and ask them to recommend a great RPG,(around KOTOR's time) and when I mentioned TES people would always tells me "well some people like those type of games"

My brother gave me Daggerfall for Christmas a long time ago. I loved that game but used a guide to finish it as it was just too big and I was new to those open world games. Also some of the missions I think had time limits...oh and you could get lost in the forest, never to return to civilization.

Morrowind I got on PC but had issues with my video card so it just sat unplayed for like a year. Then someone was convincing me to get an xbox and I found out I could get morrowind on it so I got it and have never looked back. I played that game for a couple of months. The only problem with it is by the time I got to the big boss I was so powerful it took like two swings to kill him.

Oblivion was a little bit of a letdown. I dont know if it was the "no flying" or what but I just didnt have the same love for it I did for the other two. Maybe it was the oblivion gates opening everywhere and having to do the same thing over and over to close them. I still spent a good month on the game though (100 hours or so).

Skyrim has reignited my love for the series. Just an awesome game. And nothing ruining the environment lik oblivion gates or cliff racers or blight storms. And I can always make it back to a city no matter how far I wander into the woods!! :)

what kind of rig would i need to play and get at least a solid 30fps?

vista 64 bit
amd x2 5000 2.6 GHz
4 gb ddr2
gtx 260

If im forgetting something let me know oh and I'm able to run skyrim with a bunch of texture mods and others things pretty good at least 40-50 fps.

With all the bugs in Syrim, at least it's playable. I'm 136 hours in on the PS3 and still haven't seen the amount of bugs I saw playing Morrowind on the XBox. I've played all the Elder Scrolls games and loved them, but I finally just had to give up on Morrowind.
