Skyrim Bugs: Why We Should Stop Whining

360 Magazine: Now, we’re not going to talk here about how great a game Skyrim is. This is not that place and there’s no need; if you’ve played it for more than a couple of hours, you already know. And neither are we here to defend the existence of these kinds of bug, nor here to argue whether or not the final experience of the game could or should not be perfect. No, we’re here to throw some numbers at you...

Woolly mammoths shouldn't fly, man. Simple as.

jimmins5285d ago (Edited 5285d ago )

That's what they said to Dumbo and he was a shaved mammoth; he put two fingers up at them crows and told 'em to screw off.

This is completely unacceptable. Selling us rushed out broken games! Truly a highlight of this amazing gen./s Now people accept this as a norm. Pathetic.

Highlife5284d ago

Maybe it is time we change on how we review games. Forget if it is good or bad just rate the damn thing on wether you can complete the game without game breaking bugs. I couldn't finish the first one due to a bug and now I am about 15 hours in and don't want to touch it till they get it fixed.

nveenio5284d ago

Yeah, I was playing through the quest line for the College of Winterhold, and I met a game-breaking bug without realizing it. I couldn't figure out who I was supposed to talk to next, so I thought, "Oh, I'll just come back later." 20 hours of gameplay later, I go back only to still be at a dead end. So I caved and looked up info online.....

Broken. And what sucks is that I'm 100% mage, so not being able to do the College quests really blows.

Why we should stop whining? Whining huh? I'd smack ya if I got the chance. Not punch, smack. It's what you deserve.

Listen, we paid for this game. We should be able to at least complete it. I'm 70 hours in and stuck. The next quest didn't load so now I can do side quests and that's it.

It is our right as consumers, who invested our TIME doing something we would probably rather not do in order to make MONEY, so we can go out and purchase a game that should be mostly bug and glitch free.

SuperNerd5284d ago

dude i can deal with a couple of wooly mamonths flying to outer space , and some people growing limbs out of thier faces but the game breaking bugs , and screen freezes r unacceptable

Kanzes5284d ago

i wouldnt mind with some glitch animations like flying horse or something like that.

Wait, no. I didn't think that portmanteau through. I meant 'Skugs', of course. Silly me.

Alos885284d ago

They aren't flying backwards because of a glitch, dragons see the Dovahkiin coming and back up!

Kran5284d ago

Wait.

Since the game has been released, I've barely seen any whining of the bugs. They've more been: "haha funny bugs" sort of banter.

Nerdmaster5284d ago

So I guess you never heard about the 1.2 update, right?

Kran5284d ago

Well that was fairly recent. Besides 1.2.

maxbox995284d ago

There is a bug that actually bothers me a lot. If you've done the quests from the college of winterhold on consoles, you know what I mean. The questline in absolutely broken on consoles. Im not dumb, I searched on the net and did everything but it never worked. Make your own research if you don't believe me.

they can't get a 14 year old game to run smoothly?

jjb1981161d ago

That's ridiculous, lol. I'm waiting for the guy that says its too cpu-intensive for the Switch 2. This game is old af and has been released like 17 times.
