Oh, boy, this is going to get ugly, yet o' so fun.

nanometric5303d ago

Alright, it didn’t get ugly, I was wrong, sue me.

I play neither but seriously. Both have strengths and weaknesses. These people need to get over it or put down the controller.

The problem I saw was pathetic BF3 fanboys voting down MW3 on Metacritic. Apparently they had ALL three version of modern warfare 3, and thought the game was so unplayable it deserved the score 0. And they also had all THREE version for BF3 and obviously that game deserved a 10 :) Keep in mind every other user review for MW3 and BF3 is like I described.
I love the logic.

nanometric5303d ago

Wow, that's some in-depth ANALysis, 'cuz you obviously can't dislike MW3 and not be a BF3 fanboy or vice versa, right?

Spenok5302d ago

The only thing i dont understand about this article is how did they choose MW3 over BF3 when they clearly believe BF3 has better online play?

I know they gave an answer as to why they chose MW3, however their reasons were because of the online play. So, with that being stated, how is BF3's online play better, but MW3 the better game overall because of its online?

darthv725302d ago

popular vote. BF3 may be the technically better game but the simplicity of MW3 gives it the popular vote for being able to just jump into a game.

Its like comparing a sim racer to an arcade racer. The sim racer will provide the more realistic approach to racing but the majority of racers rather prefer to just get behind the wheel and go fast.

Learning curves are things some people accept while other do not. MW as a series has garnered more popular votes than the BF series. No matter how technically superior BF would be the MW its like MW will win every time.

Just like in politics. The best candidate doesnt always win

Hicken5302d ago (Edited 5302d ago )

But they weren't choosing the game based on popular vote, were they? They said MW3's online was fun... yet admitted in the same sentence that BF3 was as fun or "funner."

Edit: That makes sense, I guess. Me, personally, I don't have a problem with difficulty as long as I'm enjoying myself. But, of course, that's me, being personal.

darthv725302d ago

sorry...popular vote in the sense that even in light of BF3 better overall presentation. Its like they overlook that in favor of the simplicity of pick up and play.

Like the easiness to get into a game makes it the more popular choice.

Spenok5302d ago

That makes sense. I wasn't talking down MW or boasting BF. Ill be honest, I prefer BF, but that's an opinion. I fully understand why people like the game. Its pretty much exactly as you say. MW is the easier game to just jump in and play. While Battlefield is the more rewarding overall game, albiet with a higher learning curve.
I was merely pointing out the contradiction in their decision process.

When logic meets EA it generates anti-matter ..... so try not to apply it in any meaningful way. Entropy is what matters in there !!

The community warned them this would happen but nope they knew better they continued with the live service push the made the art style cartoonish and this is the result

It's always so bizarre when studios announce something super early in development under the suggestion of forming the game to player feedback, and then they push against all feedback heading straight for the cliff while everyone is warning them along the way
