I found it helps to keep the Quest list short. I found that my lag issues went away as I cleared out quests. The size of the save file also got smaller when I completed quests. I'm sure it is only part of the issue but for me it works.

This guy has it right. My save file went from a bit over 8mb to 6.2mb after doing 2 guests yesterday. For some reason the save gets pretty huge when you have a lot of quests.

Tho I had some minor lag issues before the patch, and now it runs great. And I played for a good 5 hours last night.

The media, especially CVG is making this out to be much worse than it actually is.

*gives CVG a cookie and pats in on the head* there you go, now run along.

Why would you give a spoiled misbehaved child a cookie? They need a time-out or a swift smack.

Thanks for the tip. I'll have to try knocking out my growing lists of quests that I keep putting off due to exploration heh.

I really wanted to get this for my PS3 but, at this point, I think it would be foolish to do so. I'll either get it for my 360, or I'll just wait about a year for the GOTY edition to drop :( uughh!

Dunpeal5291d ago

it's really not as bad as the media is making it out to be. at least it hasn't been for me. I don't know exactly what others have experienced. i'm running an 80 gb fat ps3

MasterCornholio5291d ago

I have it in the PS3 as well. And on my TV it looks good and plays well with the occasional hiccup.

@ Dunpeal

How big is your save file right now?

Dunpeal5291d ago

@ rawfodog

it climbed up to about 8.8 mb after about 50 hours of gameplay and since the patch it went back down to about 8.5 and doesn't seem to grow anymore. i was experiencing some frame drops after extended play, but it would go away after a game restart. i played for about 4 hours straight last night with no hitch.

it definitely varies. some ppl are saying they had problems due to too many quests. i kept my quest log relatively small by doing most of them as they popped up, so maybe that helped me. i dunno exactly

they can't get a 14 year old game to run smoothly?

That's ridiculous, lol. I'm waiting for the guy that says its too cpu-intensive for the Switch 2. This game is old af and has been released like 17 times.
