Game Time: 'The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim'

Zap2it: It must be noted that "The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim" possesses some of the most stunning landscapes seen in a video game to date. Where most 3-D action games show silhouetted mountains as a backdrop with recycled backgrounds and buildings littering the countryside, Bethesda has utilized a game engine that allows you to wander across any piece of land you can see, including far-off mountain ranges, and creates unique buildings for every town, village and city you choose to explore.

Personally I think skyrim defines what this gen should have really been about.

I am thankful there are devs out there that are still willing to make games like this and publishers willing to support them.
