Oh yeah, scanning my computer for "other EA games"....I paid for a game to install a service to tell me whether my other games need updates?

Riiiiiight.

MajorJackHoff5365d ago

Yeah I'm tired of companies thinking they can get away with bullsh*t like this. Stay out of my private life!

Cosmit5365d ago

Why is everybody so paranoid?
Like everyone is out to get them.

vortis5365d ago

Paranoid? Dude, it blantatly points out that ORIGIN SCANS YOUR COMPUTER AND YOUR FILES!

Wtf is there not to get paranoid about that? When did it become okay for a company to scan personal files and data of its consumers?

Why is it important for EA to police gamers on whether they have legit copies of other games? What's it to them? And why do they need that data?

EA and Origin can GTFO with that kind of nonsense.

Pandamobile5365d ago

Bawwww EA knows my computer specs :((((((

pctrollv45365d ago

wahhhh wahhhhhhhhh! *TEAR* EA can see my porn files...wahhhhhhhhhh wahhhhhhhhhhh....my god

rattletop5365d ago

thank razor1911- no need for the spyware. just battlelog and bf3!

pctrollv45365d ago

hahaha...paranoid loser gamers. Doesnt get any better than this. Theres a carck that allows you to play without origin that works like a charm. If you dont like it, go back to COD. This is hilarious.

vortis5365d ago (Edited 5365d ago )

I'd like to be there when EA sends the Origin anal probes through your Origin-bought gaming chair. I mean, they'd only do that to find out what you like to eat, and what better way to do so than by testing the food-tube while you game.

It'll bring a whole new meaning to the term "butt raped" when you're losing like a punk in Battlefield 3. To put it bluntly, you won't be QQ'ing because of the score, and EA probably won't foot the cleaning bill either.

On second thought, I think I'd rather skip on that experience...you can enjoy that discomfort on your own.

Origin FTW!

/Sarcasm

confirmed by ea programmers and technicians?

When logic meets EA it generates anti-matter ..... so try not to apply it in any meaningful way. Entropy is what matters in there !!

badz149124d ago

cue the apologist saying that these are mostly just contractors hired for this specific project bla bla bla

The community warned them this would happen but nope they knew better they continued with the live service push the made the art style cartoonish and this is the result

isarai_lee136d ago

It's always so bizarre when studios announce something super early in development under the suggestion of forming the game to player feedback, and then they push against all feedback heading straight for the cliff while everyone is warning them along the way

US Lawmakers Urge Review Of EA Sale

The Congressional Labor Caucus sent a letter to the FTC warning the debt-financed, largely PIF-owned deal could be bad news for workers

lol ya think? they're sending all that work to the cheaper labor market as soon as possible. and FYI, that labor market has exploded in the last 5-10 years. They have enough people to replace every single job. But honestly, EA is over filled with useless upper management as it is. You could probably trim 25% of their staff with no real loss in production. They aren't gamers, they're business execs. Just look at how many AI related jobs they're already starting to post. Its also hilarious that PIF owns Battle field 6

Wait,

The same congress that attacked Lina Khan when she fought the Microsoft Activision purchase.
The same congress that allowed Disney to buy 90% of Fox
The same congress that allowed Liv Golf to buy the PGA
The same congress that sits back while Paramount tries a hostile takeover despite losing the bid for Warner Bros.

NOW, the suddenly cares about doing what's "right" for works? Yeah, right.

thorstein170d ago

No. There were elections and some of the scum were replaced.

TheColbertinator170d ago

Different elections. Different scum. Same results.

rlow1170d ago

i know its a long shot, but i hope this gets shot down.

EA now owned by The Saudis and Ubisoft to inevitably be owned by China. In hindsight, once EA and Ubisoft started having their financial woes, they should have pulled a Koei Tecmo/Bandai Namco by merging their operations into one.
