Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Perks System Detailed

With only 11 more days until the pure epicness known only as Skyrim is released. Have tou decided what kind of character you want to make? Will you be the heavy armored warrior, a spell wielding mage, a backstabbing rogue type, or an armored-magical-backstabbing (enter other skill here) type? Skyrim allows you to do just that.

Epic! I love the perks on all three skill trees its going to be a tough decision to make, I think I will start and let my play style at the time of perk selection be my deciding factor, or play strictly one tree and increase my replay value by giving myself something totally new to try on my second and third run through with the other two trees... decisions decisions. Hmmmm.

Looks like warrior - one handed got the short end of the stick. Also, didn't see anything for dual wielding.

dragonelite5329d ago

i think dual wielding just means you get the bonuses on both weapons not sure if they will stack or not

Don't people ever proofread?

Anyways, I am very much impressed with this perk system.. it's very balanced and everything could be necessary depending on your play style. I remember in Oblivion.. i've always wanted to go full Conjuration, but ended up using Destruction to attack harder enemies.. i didn't have the time to level up Conjuration, and it was just confusing as to what i really wanted to be. I think now there's more of a balance for choice..

I can't wait lol.

"Don't people ever proofread?"

Couldn't agree more. If I was a sub, I'd be going into meltdown before I finished that standfirst.

There's a new link now ;P lol

I always hate the ranked perks, they always seemed like a waste of a point. Like in Fallout 3 when you could upgrade a perk, you may aswell waste your point on a new one.

Drazz5329d ago

I'm leaning towards sneak, pickpocket and light armor perks.

Some sites are reporting the 360 version of the game has been leaked already too.

AngelicIceDiamond5329d ago

Yeah something like 10 days early its ridiculous.

barb_wire5329d ago

Makes me think, it's one of those review copies that was leaked.. and yes, 10 days before release is very ridiculous.

I can wait.. already paid for my copy just need to pick it up when it is released.

they can't get a 14 year old game to run smoothly?

jjb1981175d ago

That's ridiculous, lol. I'm waiting for the guy that says its too cpu-intensive for the Switch 2. This game is old af and has been released like 17 times.
